Great course to have fun
I enjoy this course a ton. Open fairways and some elevated tees are awesome. Played twice this week after heavy snow. Given the amount the course got it was in great condition to play in. I was charged for a golf cart and was later told that it was walking only and they wouldn’t refund me so that’s an issue. But the golf is great. Only suggestion would be to have a Marshall or two because pace of play was slow due to ONE group
Winter conditions are the worst in NJ
I play this course because it’s cheap and local. I’ve played here 10 times in the past 2 months, and I frequently play until dark—never once was there a problem until today. Staff member approaches us at 4:15pm (still an hour of daylight left) and says that we have to come in, they close at 4:30 in the winter. First time that’s ever been said to me in the 10 times I’ve played past 4:30. Not to mention that this staff member and the starter were playing the course instead of actually working. Anyway.
The course conditions are terrible, even the “deals” where you pay $30 are not worth it. The tee boxes are 95% dirt, the greens are pockmarked and cut incredibly high, and even if you land in the fairway you will likely not have a good lie. This course could be good if they actually cared about basis course maintenance. Don’t play here unless you like wasting your money.
Jersey Golf in January
Layout was good. Couple of very challenging holes. It’s winter so you have to expect dirt tee boxes and conditions beyond the staffs control. I can see where it would be very muddy if it wasn’t frozen. I’d come back but not after a rain..

No tee block hard to tell where women were supposed to hit
Great layout
Wish they could get this place in better shape. Slowly improving but given the geography ( low and wet) it’s going to take a lot of work.
You get what you pay for
Only played here because all of the courses in Monmouth County were closed from last weeks snow storm, was just happy to be out on the course on Christmas Eve. Course was in bad shape, dirt for tee boxes, muddy fairways, and bumpy greens. I’ll give them a pass on this though considering it’s December. Pace of play was BRUTAL, almost 5 hours. Course is horribly managed, for some reason they allowed a 5some to go out in front of my 3some and in front of them was 4some all 70+ and walking. All of this at 10am, how is this allowed to happen at all, let alone this early in the day. I will say the kids running the place were nice and friendly. No staff/ranger on the course to keep it moving either. Will only be back in the winter time if this is the only course open again.
Played 12/23/20. Had frost delay but staff did good job getting everyone out. Started on back nine. Course wet but playable, greens decent for time of year. Pace was slow but moving. Course gets a lot of play and is a little worn, but grateful they’re open year round and have opportunity to play winter golf.
disappointed
I paid for a cart...when I got there no refund and no cart.
