Green Knoll Golf Course
About
Green Knoll Golf Course in Bridgewater Township has a varied terrain that provides a unique character to the course. The course sprawls across gently rolling hills dappled with mature trees. Much of the course's challenges are a result of the tricky contours. Some of the elevation changes are dramatic but there are also some subtle ones, which can be just as tricky. Further accuracy is required to maneuver the tight fairways. There are definitely challenges in store throughout but overall the golf course's playability appeals to all skill levels, from novices to avid golfers. It measures a manageable 6,443 yards from the back tees. In addition to the 18-hole course, there is also a nine-hole pitch-and-putt course. Green Knoll is one of five golf courses operated by the Somerset County Park Commission.

Beware- Cart $17 per person!!!!
Their website says a cart is $17. When we got there they charged us per person $17x4. What a rip off. They are completely vague on the website and it does not specify per person. We all decided to walk instead and rented a walking cart for $5. The cart was a total POS- the wheels were wobbly, there was no strap, and my bag rolled off once. Otherwise the course was great and the staff was nice. Only a good deal if you plan to walk or have your own cart.
Not worth the money
Over priced. No amenities outside of 3 vending machines that didn't work properly. $34 for a cart after paying fees. Most fairways were well kept, 4 of the last 6 greens were not well kept. Will not be returning.
Green Knoll
This is my previous home course. I used to play there at least once a week. Unlike usual public courses this course has a very interesting lay out. Staff is very friendly. Course is always well maintained. It's a fun course to play on.
A day with firm fairway and green
It is the first time that the green and fairway is so firm, which ball will run extra 10-20 yards. The rough is very spotty. The course condition is not as good as before.
Have good time with friends on this course.
I like the course layout, I will try this course again.
Nice Day all around.
Great weather and Course was in wonderful condition.Staff was friendly and helpful.
Green Knoll is in great shape
The fairways were lush and the greens were in outstanding shape and the rough is getting thick. The wetness of early May is gone. Premium placed on hitting the fairways.
Nice course.
Nice course. Staff was great, friendly. I'll be coming back. Wish they had a restaurant and a bar but otherwise an enjoyable day
Excellent county public course
Always enjoy playing here. Looks easy, but hilly.
Even with a short mowing staff, seems to always
be in good shape for the most part.
No snack bar. Pleasant staff. Great prices for
seniors. Has a 9 hole rate. No driving range to
speak of ( Pitch and putt course used at times
for driving range).
Nice Course
There were some sprinkles in the air on a cloudy day but over-all the weather was okay. Being that the past month or so has been very wet, especially the weekends, one could understand the damp areas surrounding the hazards as being prone to a lost ball or two due to plugging. Some of the sand traps were flooded too. The traps that were not flooded were in very good shape with good playable sand.
Fairways were in good shape and the greens in great shape. Since it is not summer, the annoying gnats of summer were not a factor. The deer were out in abundance and did their thing without disrupting anyone's round of golf.
Overall a good experience for the year's first round which, with a 2:20 p.m. tee time, took 3.25 hours to play.
TD
Course is always fun and Challenging.
The fairways and tee boxes were in great condition.
My only complaint was the Greens.
They were terrible!!! Then were not cut or rolled.
Every putt bounced. Not one true roll. It made the day very frustrating when you hit great lines and your putts have no chance.
Fun course
Love the layout . Greens rolling nicely. Would go back weekly!
A Dump
Terrible ugly course with incredibly poor conditions and pace of play.
Very good maintaind staff was friedly , Bunker was real good maintained,.
Best course at this area. I recommend all my friends. Real good maintained ...
Good value and challenging course for intermediate golfers...
Love to play this course even though there are a few quirky holes where fairways are close to each other and golfers are hitting balls to the same rough. Good challenge for golfers of all levels but the average to above average players will likely enjoy it more...
