Farmstead Golf & Country Club - Valleyview/Lakeview Course

About
The Valleyview nine is the most difficult course at the 27-hole Farmstead Golf & Country Club, which is located in northwest New Jersey approximately one hour from New York City. Small greens, tree-lined fairways, hilly terrain and out of bounds on seven of nine holes are among the reasons the Valleyview nine is a test. The Byron Phoebus design opened in 1979.

Tournament playing in between public outings made slow playing pace. Customers should be informed before selling tee times, so we can decide.
Golf in December in NJ
Although there was frost in the morning the staff was very efficient and got the groups out onto the course with little delay. The course was in great condition!
Great Course For The Money!
I always enjoy playing Farmstead. Some holes are wide open and some are very tight. You will use eery club in your bag.
EXCELLENT CONDITION BUT OVERBOOKED
COURSE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AS USUAL - EXTREMELY GREEN.. UNFORTUNATELY PACE OF PLAY WAS HORRENDOUS AS TEE TIME NOT SPREAD OUT FAR ENOUGH - MOST OF THE DAY THERE WERE 3 FOURSOMES ON EACH HOLE
tee time
i had a tee time set and didn’t tee off until 20 minutes later.the pace of play was absolutely atrocious..i left after 9 about 2 1/2 hours.but this has happened in the past and it will continue
best staff, unique layout.
it was first time visit for me in NYC.
we plan to visit in between NYC and PA because one of friend lives in PA,
it was hour and half drive for us and him as well.
fir impression was 'wow''. just wow, you can agree if you visit a first time.
so, we impressed for layout and lots, lots, lots of waters.
then we enjoyed round.
as usual Sunday morning it became crowd, but all neighbor was very friendly.
also we played 9 hole more after the game. ( they have 3 9holes) we only paid more than affordable amount.
you should play 9 hole if you can.
lastly, they have aerate Greens, but we enjoyed such a nice staff with weather.
We probably visit again next season.
Greens were horrible
Should have been a discounted round of golf considering how bad the greens were. Just aerated? Discount. Nice design though
beautiful course in great shape
Great round on Lakeview & Valley courses. Some delays due to an outing but on measure, a wonderful day.
