Bowling Green Golf Club
About
Bowling Green Golf Club is in the heart of northern New Jersey, surrounded by miles of idyllic countryside. An abundance of mature oaks and towering red pines characterizes the scenic course. This quick, shady layout is a great round for walkers. The golf course has a classic links design that is easily played in less than four hours. Like most traditional links courses, the gently undulating terrain has the perfect pitch and roll. It also provides each hole with unique challenges that require accuracy and strategy. Trees heavily line the fairways, presenting some of the course's most formidable challenges. Bowling Green Golf Club's front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine, which incorporates the natural ponds and wetlands on a few holes. There are also some tricky doglegs to contend with.

Good golf, Great eats
Played this course for the first time and thought overall was a fun course to play. It was a bit damp as we have had a lot of rain so fairways were very soft. Greens were in good shape. Pace of play was good with the early morning tee time. Beer Garden was the highlight. Insane pub food, gormet burgers and amazing beer selection after round. Would recommend this course as overall great experience.
Play here instead of Ballyowen
Pride of ownership! This place has a pulse and it’s friendly and relaxed. They keep the course in great shape despite all the rain. Will be back
Fun Course
Nice user friendly course with enough forgiveness for the beginner player but with good length and challenges for the advanced player. Some unexpected and unusual soft spots. Decent pace of play. Driving range and beer garden are a plus
Nice Track....Great Eats at Beer Garden
This course was ok. The fairways and greens were in good shape. The course layout was fine with some challenging holes. The greens were slow due to moisture. Overall fun round. Outdoor dining at Beer garden was the real treat. Amazing food and drink selection. Highly recommend eating here after the round. Overall fun day at course.
Greta course
Staff on par*. Nice outdoor eating, chef has some winners kn the menu. Really cant say anything bad, the cost is steep compared to a muni but you get what you pay for in some sense.
One of the nicest courses in Morris County
This is a semi private course, which is always in great shape. Don’t play it that much because of the price we got a good price on the 4 July so we took it. We got out at 12 o’clock and there was nobody there. The reason was I think because so many storms came through the day before we played the course in three hours and 15 minutes. It was awesome. also people working there were very friendly.
Love it
Early tee time , 3:52 mins 18 holes , then beer garden and food were great !
Always a good time
The price is on the higher side, but it appears that a lot of that money gets invested back into the course. The conditions are great.
I’ll be back!
Gorgeous Course
From tee box to green impeccable conditions. Fast greens . . Great sand in bunkers.
