About
The Clubview nine, which opened in 1963, is the original course at the 27-hole Farmstead Golf & Country Club, located in northwest New Jersey, approximately one hour from New York City. Offering a traditional mix of par 3s, par 4s and par 5s, accuracy is key on the Byron Phoebus-designed course. The Clubview nine closes with two very demanding holes, the long par-4 eighth, with an approach shot over water, and the par-3 ninth, which is surrounded by water.

1st time in 3 years..time to change that.
As far as playing it years ago, it has always been a great place to play locally. I hadn't been back here in over 3 years, only because of playing other places and how busy I've been. But I glad I finally made it back. Definitely the best round of golf for the price. Pro shop fully stocked and friendly staff. Everything about the place is top notch. It will definitely become 1 of my regular stops again. Every part of the course was in great shape, greens fairways and tee boxes. Having the 3 nine hole course is awesome. Always mix it up everytime you come. Thanks for a great day of golf
Great course
Great course. Great condition but slow twosome in front of us but there wasn’t pressure on us.
Nice course, but need to manage pace of play better.
I've played Farmstead many times. It's a nice course. But on the 3rd hole of Clubview, it suddenly backed up and for the next few holes, we had to wait 10 minutes each time to tee off. What made it even more aggravating was a ranger came from the previous hole and blamed my group! What the ranger should have done was started at the last hole and worked back to find the problem group instead of wrongly blaming us.
Favorite local course
I love playing this course. It’s challenging and fun.

Had a great day out on the course. Pace of play was perfect and just a great overall experience.
Disappointed
The gentlemen assigning cards was rude, I never had the experience before. I invited a guest from Delaware and he had the same experience. He was not friendly and not helpful. He should not be in that role.
Slow
Greens were bumpy and slow..and so was pace of play.
The two foursomes were all beginners and took forever. One of them even was actually fishing with his fishing rod by lake in between holes!
Slowest round of my life
Went to play on Sunday. Fully expected a full course with everyone trying to get a round in on the weekend. Rain earlier in the morning had the starters delaying groups up to an hour after their tee times. At a certain point the course has got to start issuing rain checks so the slow pace doesn’t become even worse. Rangers also could’ve done more to speed up play. I don’t see how a 27 hole layout could have the schedule in such disarray. Left after hole 11 because we were already 4+ hours after my original tee time. Might not have even been able to finish 18 because of darkness and I had a 2:50PM tee time.
Great value
Course is nice. Grass could of been trimmed better but the greens played well. Rough was long and so were the tees. Except for the height of the grass the course played well and for the price it's a great value
Always a pleasure
I've really come to appreciate this course. Fun layout, fair greens, bunkers in really great condition for a public course. Great value if you walk after 2pm.
