Farmstead Golf & Country Club - Lakeview/Clubview Course
About
Water comes into play on six holes on the Lakeview nine at the 27-hole Farmstead Golf & Country Club, which is located in northwest New Jersey approximately an hour from New York City. None is more challenging than the closing hole, a very short -- but very intimidating -- par 3 over water. The Byron Phoebus design opened in 1965.

Nice course
The par 3s were a bit too much but overall a nice course
Course
Course was in fantastic shape . Greens were good . Hole placements were fair . Just need to fix hole 8. Hole 8 has just about no window to drive through do to large branches extending from the tree on the right . trim a few branches and you got yourself a good hole .
Great condition
Course was in great shape for this time of year. Couldn’t have asked for better conditions. Only bad thing was the sand traps (luckily I was only in one). Had a great time. Would def play again and recommend
Great Track
Played Lake to Club on warm day in March and place was in mid summer shape already ! Staff is freindly and helpful . always a must play every year. if you spray it you may have to chip out but will usually find your ball , a big challenge from the Blue tees if you have the length !
Great Day To Play Golf
Play club and lake course. I shot an 84. Great day and meeting new people.
Golf in December in NJ
Although there was frost in the morning the staff was very efficient and got the groups out onto the course with little delay. The course was in great condition!
best staff, unique layout.
it was first time visit for me in NYC.
we plan to visit in between NYC and PA because one of friend lives in PA,
it was hour and half drive for us and him as well.
fir impression was 'wow''. just wow, you can agree if you visit a first time.
so, we impressed for layout and lots, lots, lots of waters.
then we enjoyed round.
as usual Sunday morning it became crowd, but all neighbor was very friendly.
also we played 9 hole more after the game. ( they have 3 9holes) we only paid more than affordable amount.
you should play 9 hole if you can.
lastly, they have aerate Greens, but we enjoyed such a nice staff with weather.
We probably visit again next season.
Great Course For The Money!
I always enjoy playing Farmstead. Some holes are wide open and some are very tight. You will use eery club in your bag.
EXCELLENT CONDITION BUT OVERBOOKED
COURSE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AS USUAL - EXTREMELY GREEN.. UNFORTUNATELY PACE OF PLAY WAS HORRENDOUS AS TEE TIME NOT SPREAD OUT FAR ENOUGH - MOST OF THE DAY THERE WERE 3 FOURSOMES ON EACH HOLE
you book a tee time for a reason.not to tee off 20 plus minutes later.pace of play was absolutely atrocious.i left after 9 i couldn’t pain myself through any longer
