The course is always good, but the weather reeks havoc on the grass. A little fertilizer and sunshine should do the trick.

Spring golf at Lakewood
I generally like this course. The layout is good and holes are at times challenging.
Unusually light day, so pace was extremely good.
I have played here when pace at times it just ridiculous.
One time it took 5 hours to complete 9 holes.
For winter conditions, the course was in good shape.

Great layout and condition
Great course with fantastic employees! Just started playing the course within the last six months, and can’t believe what I have been missing! The course is well maintained, the staff members are all very friendly and helpful, and the bar is a real bonus at the end of a round. Golf Now rates make for reasonable rates.

First time and last time playing at Lakewood
First time we played here. Be aware…. If you book a foursome and only 3 show up you will get charged for the 4th. (My buddy woke up with a bad back and couldn’t play). No other course that I have played, charges green fee and cart for the 4th. To make matters worse, they also charge you an additional $10 for a single rider in a cart. A rip off. Because of this I and my golf buddies will not play there again!

Greens problematic. Aeration ridges make putting very difficult.

This course sucks.
I’ve been playing at the Lakewood Counrty club for years .Every time I finish a round i always say this is my last time. The staff is almost always rude and the course is not well maintained. They over book there times and then are rude when your waiting .

Winter Round
Course in decent condition for winter. Greens a little bumpy and slow, but given the time of year not a big deal. Slow play. At least 2 holes open in front of group ahead of us.
