Lakewood Country Club

LCC is honestly the best golf course in this NJ. If you don’t believe me go golf on a Sunday at 12:30. You arrive at 10:30, hit the range then by 11:15 you’re sitting at Maggie’s tiki bar having drinks until 12:15. Get 2-3 boozers in ya then go visit the most polite old man to start your round. Then once you’re playing, there’s nothing but amazing vibes on the course super nice fairways good pace of play fantastic greens and the best hole of all time hole 12. Nothing but rockets for cart girls and great vibes. once the round is over you go back to Maggie‘s for live music and dinner can’t beat this place.

Wow..way better than I expected. Greens were fast and true. Bunkers were well manicured with quality sand. Old school layout..in a good way. No housing, no noise. If you've never played, I think you'll be impressed. Not a long course, but plenty of room off the tee to small, interesting, contoured greens that will test your short game. Lively outdoor bar area too!

Easy course and greens are good but the rest is only OK

They had no starter or ranger and course was way backed up. Teed off 20 minutes late. Group in front of us was backing up the whole course and wouldn’t let us play through. Called the club house and said they couldn’t send anyone to go talk to them. Had a 3 hour round and never even saw the group two in front of us. Terrible experience would never come back

Booked a single rider. Apparently there is a $10 fee for single rider not disclosed on GolfNow. Guy at front desk yelling at me that that is the policy. Never heard of extra fees being tacked on at club. Con artists. Disrespectful.

Older gentleman in pro shop very rude. He was struggling with someone on the phone as I waited then 4 others golfers came in and he took them ahead of me because he knew them even when they all said I was there 1st. Sorry I was not a friend but I would have liked to warm up but couldn't because of the wait time and not being his buddy. Now the starter was a good dude real nice. Course is fun Lil track greens are interesting in a good way. Few tricky holes on back 9 if you don't know the course.

Very friendly staff. Course overall in very good condition. Greens consistent. Fairways cut nice. Tee boxes could use a bit of work. Def recommend it for a fun round of golf. I just wish people were more considerate with fixing ball marks and divots in the fairways

The greens were were great, the fairways fine, the rough and little tatty. It was a good deal on GolfNow. But what was weird were the 2 teen age girls in long skirts running on the cart path while were hitting. When I stopped one and asked if she had permission she lied to my face and said yes. Back at the club house they were pretty upset with them.
