Lakewood Country Club

Nice course. Breezed through the front nine and then a foursome either started or took a break and then went on 10 and really slowed down the back nine. First time playing at this course. Conditions were very good. Challenging with a few unique holes.

Great shape, fast pace of play. Greens and fairways in great condition.

Old time layout with generous fairways and receptive greens. Fairways and greens in excellent condition for late June. Intetesting holes that will require a few rounds to master...short 4 with big uphill approach, doglegs and a horseshoe shaped 5. Tough play in breezy conditions.

The course was in okay conditions for it's age, but I do think groundskeeping could do a better job with certain areas of the course. The teeboxes, fairways, and greens were in great shape. The bunkers could use some manicuring around the edges, and the rough needs a lot of attention like adding weed & feed and over seeding. You can see the course is going to get dried out quickly if they don't start watering the course daily. They really need to water the course multiple times a day or its going to get burnt up quickly. We would recommend this to friends and would go back and play it again.

LCC is honestly the best golf course in this NJ. If you don’t believe me go golf on a Sunday at 12:30. You arrive at 10:30, hit the range then by 11:15 you’re sitting at Maggie’s tiki bar having drinks until 12:15. Get 2-3 boozers in ya then go visit the most polite old man to start your round. Then once you’re playing, there’s nothing but amazing vibes on the course super nice fairways good pace of play fantastic greens and the best hole of all time hole 12. Nothing but rockets for cart girls and great vibes. once the round is over you go back to Maggie‘s for live music and dinner can’t beat this place.

Wow..way better than I expected. Greens were fast and true. Bunkers were well manicured with quality sand. Old school layout..in a good way. No housing, no noise. If you've never played, I think you'll be impressed. Not a long course, but plenty of room off the tee to small, interesting, contoured greens that will test your short game. Lively outdoor bar area too!
