Lakewood Country Club

I booked a tee time here for 2 golfers. When I arrived they told me that they had me down for 3 golfers. I showed them my reservation on GolfNow which showed a reservation for 2 and they said it must of been a mistake. 2 days later I received a “no-show” charge for the third golfer that I did not book. I called the course and was told the manager would call me back. He never did. I had to call back two more times to finally get answers and then they told me that GolfNow was at fault and that they charged me the no show fee. I reached out to GolfNow and they said the course was responsible for no show fees and that they were not being honest with me. I reached back out to the course and received no response! These people are dishonest and I will never spend another dollar here and neither should you.

Clean course, fast and well kept greens, rough very playable

LCC is a classic old style layout. Small greens, many are multilevel with two that are Biarritz greens. The fairways and greens were in great condition. Nice restaurant and outside tiki bar.

We played this course yesterday. I haven’t play here in a number of years. I believe they have made a lot of really nice changes and the condition of the course was really perfect from t to green . We will definitely go back.

The staff here is also very nice and helpful. Golf carts nice and clean all around a really great time and great course. Highly recommend

Course was in good shPe. Greens were on the slow side. Probably because tee time was after 3pm.

From the very beginning it was difficult. When I checked in at the Pro shop the man said to me " you're with golf now you can't go out until you tee time." Well, I figured that. Then when I got to the stater at the first tee the starter ask for my slip. I gave him my slip and he said this isn't the slip. I told him that's what the pro shop gave me. So he called the pro shop on the radio and said this guy said he paid but he doesn't have a slip. I showed him on my phone that I paid. The pro shop said golf now prepaid get a different slip. So after that things went smoothly until the 11 tee. When we arrived at the tee box we were walking towards the tee and the cart girl came behind us and drove her cart right over the middle of the tee box and kept going. Very strange.

I wouldn’t say it’s a terribly difficult course except on the greens. They are challenging. Staff is always friendly and the girls serving hot dogs and drinks are always very nice.

Busy course you are not playing a quick round unless you are up early and get going in the first 5 groups. Course improvements are making it alot harder to get on. Enjoy your round!

We enjoyed the complex, yet a fair challenge and we will return to conquer number 12 it is the first 8 on a short par 4 ever!!!!

This is a hidden gem. A golden age architecture design with good conditions, pace of play, staff, and excellent food and beverage. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!
