Layout nice but..
The track has a good layout but the maintenance on the course is terrible, no sand in bunkers, bunkers have not been racked in months, cart path ruff ride..The staff are very good and professional..
Great Layout
The course has a great layout, well groomed fairways and greens. However, the sand traps are a highlight of the course, yet they are more like concrete bunkers and not have not been touched this season. The pace of play was extremely slow, there are no marshalls on Monday's.
Not bad at all!!!
Overall, I think that this was a good track. Even though its a relatively short course, It gives one the ability to use all the clubs in the bag. All the greens have some sort of form to them meaning they are not flat which makes for some fun putting. greens were not fast, average pace but in pretty good shape. you will enjoy the shot values into the green much better with play from the fairway. better players will find plenty of opportunities to play shots from both directions.
Ideally Situated
This course was ideally situated. The paths from hole to hole lead you through the woods. The view and atmosphere are terrific. Certainly a worthwhile course to try.
Good value on Hot Deal
Course was drier than anticipated since major rain day prior to our play. Was in decent shape although the greens were on the slow side and the bunkers need some serious sand and attention. We discovered our sand canisters were empty after attempting to use them on the first hole. Only staff we saw were in the shop and they were very welcoming. Not overly long, but good placement golf should equate to a solid score.
Would not go back to this course.
The course is recently allowing the public to play with members. This is my second time here and got the same feeling both times that the members are not happy with the public playing their course. Between the members and certain staff members (not all), they are very rude.
Nothing But Value Golf
The price is unbeatable for 18 and a cart especially on GolfNow. Course is in good shape. Greens not excellent but not terrible. Fairways were average. Holes were not really that difficult. One good drive on the par 4s was a 100 some yard wedge to the green. The only complaint would have to be that the bunkers were in terrible condition. Rock hard sand with rakes from the dollar store. Must fun part of the course would be the cart paths were through the woods and it was a fun ride to each hole. Good course for the value and fun to get some practice in.
Links Virgin
This was the first time I played The Links. The fairways are in very good condition, the Pro Shop not so much. Fairways and greens are well maintained. The cart paths are a bit rough. The waste area bunkers should improve as the weather dries out. It would be nice to see the green-side bunkers groomed and refreshed with softer sand - very hard to play out of in current conditions. As I have seen written, the course presents a fun challenge with several blind dog-legs that after knowing the course, will help with club selection off the tee. I did not go into the bar or restaurant on this trip, but will in the future.
Fun course, great staff, could be maintained better.
The course was a lot of fun. Super tight tree lines with the importance on the first shot; not only an emphasis to hit the fairway but to make sure you're on the appropriate side of the fairway for an approach. It made me hit a lot of different types of shots, 4 iron to 7 iron, 7 iron to 4 iron, etc; not just driver iron, driver iron...
It was not maintained well though. The fairways were in better then "good" shape, the rough was fairly lush, but the sand and cart paths were terrible.
good value
course need a maintenance but what we paid
no complain
Excellent Course
Played there a few times and the conditions are excellent. Gotta be able to hit straight and the greens are challenging. Overall a real good course.
just like the old days
great course conditions. tee boxes, greens and fairways in excellent shape. Played last summer when it was dried out but this time it was a real treat. worth the money. will be back
A Nice layout, with minor difficuties.
Short course, but somewhat challenging. Good to have device to give lay-up yardage and dog legs. Played in early spring, but pretty sure it gets tight when trees fill in.
Great hidden course
I played this course in the early spring. The course was in a good condition coming out of the winter. Not an extremely difficult course but it is fairly tight. It would be much better for a first time player to know the distances to some of the layup points. You will need them on a few doglegs and par 5s.
Good experience
I liked the course. The front nine is a little short yet challenging. A little longer on the back. I had played here before in July. After a hot wet summer the grass was a little burnt up. I'm glad I went back early this year. The course was in great shape. $40 is a great value for this course. I will be back.
The Links Golf Club is an absolute gem.
The Links Golf Club is an absolute gem. The course is very scenic, secluded and meanders through the edge of the Pine Barrens in Marlton NJ. The course is well maintained and conditions are very good. The holes are dictated by the land, none of the holes feel artificial. Very playable course with 4 different tee boxes. Some holes are narrow and tree lined, while others are open and tree lined with thinned out underbrush allowing you to scramble back into play. I love the different angles that one is forced to play on many severe doglegs. I never get sick of playing this course, encounter new experiences every time I play (have played course 4 times in last 8 months. The clubhouse is nice, could use some remodeling in the bar/restaurant. Pro shop is stocked well. The course is now semi-private, allowing the public tee times, which is long over due. New club associate memberships are available, very affordable with reduced public play rates while providing full club access. I will definitely be taking up an associate club membership ASAP.
Not long but fun.
It is not long course but you will need to be straight. It is definitely a fun course to play. Nice fast greens, although the starter stated the greens were slow. It must be pretty fast during the summer times.
Great course in a quiet setting
This course has started offering reasonable afternoon pricing. It is always in good shape. (It is a pine baron course so the soil is sand like; so watch for aeration dates.)
I really like the layout. It is not a long course. The first 2 holes (par 4's) are really short...after that it all seems normal. Over all it can be a tight course. The back 9 is quite tight. The greens roll very true. Remember, the regular length Men's tees are the Blue here, not the white.
This place is a great deal under $50. Play it!
Challenging course
Pretty good condition considering the time of the year.
Unique back to back par 5's on front and back nine. Tucked away in the woods surrounded by homes. Enjoyable round.
course was challenging from the blue tees, especially the back nine. Staff was very friendly. Members we played with and met were friendly also.
Loved the course. Excellent tees, fairways and greens. Traps and some of the waste areas lnot so much. But this is after a big storm, and in November.
