Riverview Golf Course

I'm am a beginner golfer but I can tell you this is a great course. I have never felt like I shouldn't be there. The staff has been super friendly and helpful and I have had many golfers give me tips. So far everyone has been very friendly and helpful! I will definitely continue to go to this course for as long as I live in this area.

Great course to learn on, open fair ways on the front nine, good challenge on the back nine.

Enjoyed my round at Riverview. I was by myself at 11:30 and the pace of play was great. I was done in under 3-1/2 hours. Conditions were good, not great but the greens were rather slow. Riverview is like playing 2 different courses between the front and back nine. Front plays like a Midwest course (pretty flat with some trees) while the back plays more southwesterly (hilly, surrounded by desert and bendy).

This is great course to play. There are usually antelope on the course for some wildlife views. Course is perfect this time of year. Green grass everywhere. Greens were moderate speed. Fairways were clean cut.

Would play again for sure.

Played Riverview yesterday (Sunday pm), used GolfNow and got a good deal. Course condition was just ok, greens were very spongy and slow, disappointing. General upkeep gets a bit worse each year, no spraying program whatsoever for weeds on the course, such as clover, and it is taking over the playing surface everywhere. It has been a problem on the range before, and never any progress being made. Soon it will be too late except to do a major grass reno. To top it all off, the snack bar closed at 3 - on a Sunday afternoon. What, no beer at the turn? I went in at just a minute or two after 3 and was told that I couldn't get anything, candy bars and sodas included. Pretty strange. I do hope that they can find the $$ to start working on the playing surfaces.

There was several holes in the front nine that had make shift greens and one was on the side of a hill and very rough. Not at all conducive for putting. Also another green we were playing the hole and the sprinklers came on and make it so we could not finish the hole. The food at the grill was burned and I have heard this happens frequently and the place is not super busy. It’s a nice course but there was definitely some areas that made the course rough and not worth the price tag. I have golfed it several times in the past and it has not been like this.

Grass is starting to grow front 9 greens alittle rough back 9 is good smooth not to fast yet getting better
