Course was avg only due to the fact they had several temp greens due to aeration.
Good for a "close to home" 9 Holes
Good for 9 holes during that "spur of the moment" urge to get out and play - best in late-afternoon. Can sometime be very busy and take 3 hours to play 9 holes.
A "typical" no-frills 9 hole course - slow and bumpy greens, very little rough to speak of, and tight layout where you will frequently need to pay attention to tee shots of the group in front of you as most holes are in the opposing direction.
One real plus here is getting a lot of balls for you shag bag - people just seem to hit into adjacent fairways and just leave their balls there - picked up 7 yesterday.
Slow play
They need a ranger checking foe gaps in play and do something about slow play
Fast Eddie
Course is 3 minutes from my house convenient, pace can be slow when busy
Great 9 hole course
Challenging nine hole course in very good condition. Only one par 3. Fairways are side by side so you need to keep an eye out for wayward golf balls. Staff is friendly and organized. There are posted rules about no beginners and no teaching on course. This makes for a better experience for everyone. I look forward to playing here again soon.
Best 9 holes for the money
Very nice course excellent people working there concessions wonderful waitress was excellent and personal overlooks overall experience perfect
Great as always
Best 9 you’ll play on Long Island. Very well maintained as always.
Poor playing conditions during ongoing maintenance.
I have played this course about a dozen times in the last year and would normally rate it 4 stars. Currently I would rate this 1-2 stars. For example the 8th hole was undergoing aeration as we were playing. The entire fairway was mostly rubble out about 150 yards from the pin. Other holes are in need of repair. I would suggest avoiding this course for the next few weeks.
Retirees comments
The course has air rated fairways at some holes and littered with geese poop on some greens and fairways. The restaurant has lite fair And is tasty and inexpensive.. very happy and helpful wait staff.
Fun course
Fun quick 9 hole course. The only positive change I would suggest would be to have a ranger keep an eye out for gaps to warn golfer they’re holding up play . There was a group playing with a radio playing music.
The staff and the Ladies that run the restaurant are terrific‼️ I had really good meatballs there a couple weeks ago. I recommend this course...
Mike Russo
Nice course and usually plays at a good pace. I love the staff and the girls at the 19th hole as well as the terrific food‼️ A fun 9 hole course...
