A great 9 hole Public Course. Weather was perfect. Little slow because of the family playing infront of us. Course has been well kept all summer.
Terrible Pace of Play
The course is usually in pretty good condition. This round was extremely frustrating with the pace of play since the ranger instead of enforcing it was too busy fixing ball marks on the green (EVERY GOLFER SHOULD OWN A $3 REPAIR TOOL/FIX YOUR BALL MARK IT TAKES SECONDS). End of the round the ranger asked how long it took and I said almost 3 hours and he had a smirk and replied "well I guess I wasn't doing my job well". Nice to know you value your patrons time...
I am a NOT happy camper after this horribly organized and run golf course, firstly the pace of play as slower than molasses, a nine hole round with take you about 3 to 4 hours and it is not worth it in the slightest. The staff is lackluster and the dress code is laughable. I refuse to pay almost $35 to play with an elderly man in a wife beater. The amenities off course are horrid, the drink in the vending machine come out warm and are old. The driving rage is iron only a it will set you back $8 for about 20 golf balls. To conclude it is not worth the price and has left me underwhelmed to say the least.
Fun course for beginners

This was the first course I played on and I still come back every so often. It's inexpensive to play if you are a resident and it's pretty well maintained.
The first hole is a par 5 that doglegs left along a cove and then you immediately go to a par 3 with water on two sides. Backups seem to happen right here because there's a lot of beginners on the course, but I've never seen anyone gripe about it. The atmosphere is pretty casual.
Once you're away from the water on the first two holes, then it is pretty straight forward.
There's a small irons-only range and you can get lessons here.
I had the exact same experience here today. Such a poorly run course for a nice 9 hole.
