The Golf Club at Middle Bay

Middle Bay is in good condition for early in the season. Some tee boxes need a little work before the Summer, but overall everything is in nice shape especially the greens.

Lots of repairs going on. Many tee boxes were in horrible shape. Many cart paths were bad or unpaved. The new clubhouse and pro shop is nice, but they should have built an adjoining restaurant to replace the old cafe. The cafe needs a total renovation. The new electric golf carts are powerful, but the gps should indicate other golf carts in front of you so that you can judge where the group in front is at on blind shots.

This place has the potential to be much better!

Booked a walking round, told at course it was “mandatory” to ride before 10am. No where was the option given to book with a cart . This is a blatant attempt to show one fee and deliberately up charge at the course

Located on the South Shore of Long Island on the water. I guess not many know about it or just think it’s private. The greens and fairways are nice and lush and in great condition. Off the fairways were a drop burnt, but it is the end of this summer. Overall, I thought the course was in great shape and worth the $85. I spent on Green fees cart.

Everything was good. The main problem is the 86 buck cost . 96 with a medium bucket. With the 5 courses at Bethpage out of commission it hurts that you pay double the price here. No senior rate here as opposed to Bethpage. Not sure it will be able to sustain the price point when things get back to normal at Bethpage.

We became advised after we were behind schedule 14 minutes on the 3rd hole that a wedding party was pushed out at the start of ther day and it jambed up the works for everyone. Not good for the folks who had tee times. Having heard about the previous private club status of the course I was expecting something a bit more extraordinary, but it was “okay”.
