Good corse for beginner to internediate
We had a good time. No water or ice available at course on a hot day… not good. No range balls and the carts we stinking dirty. There were some water issues on some holes, but overall the course was fun to play.
Not worth the drive
First time at this course on Thursday just after noon. It was crazy busy with slow pace of play. I have never seen that many crab grass on a golf course. Fairways are filled with many kinds of grass, most are in the weed category. Greens are soft and in a decent shape. It was good that I partnered with the people that played there before as there were many blind shots and a few hidden hazards. At hole 15, 2 guys decided to cut in front of us and majorly slowed us down the last few holes.
BYOB
Course only sells 3.2 beer and 4.0 seltzers. Why in the world is there still 3.2 beer still being created, let alone served? MN may be the very last state in the union to sell that “water”.
It is what it is
Certainly not a golf course I’d consider a top 20 in the greater Minneapolis area but it works well if you’re just looking to get out and swing the clubs a bit.
Golfpass rip off
Golf Pass charged me $17.00 and when I got to the course they told me that I had to pay the course directly and that Golf Pass will returned my $17 to me. Which golf pass is not doing so I will never use this service again
Decent all rounder
First time playing here. From previous ratings I didn’t expect too much but was pleasantly surprised. There is a shop now, maybe it’s a new addition? The course is a mix of two halves. First nine open and long, swing away!! Second nine generally shorter and narrower. Quite tricky. Club selection is paramount. The greens were quite slow but it did rain overnight. Enjoyed the round and pace of play ( I was on my own) was very good. Going back soon
A beautiful day for last round of the year.
The weather was perfect. I would really be surprised if we get the chance to play again this year here in Minnesota.
In spite of the falling leaves. The greens were in great shape and ran true. Tee boxes were good. All in all, we really like this course. We just wish they had better amenities. There is no bar or lounge.
Not even a club house rest room. There are a number of Portable outhouse on the course. Which are all clean and well cared for. It is a rather young golf course and I hope that they invest in a nice clubhouse.
I did have some trouble with my reservation again. Minutes after making the reservation. I got an email that my reservation cancelation request was being processed. WHAT.
I called the golf course and solidified my tee time. I then called Golf Now and talked with an agent who happily contacted Falcon Ridge and made it right.
We all liked the course
In spite of the early rain and the high winds. We did enjoy the course. The rain let up but it was windy the entire day.
We really liked the course layout. The greens were in great shape and they were consistent.
The second cut was a little long and some of the Tee boxes were a little rough. But overall a nice course that we will come back too.
A little disappointed that the course didn't have a kitchen and a Bar with a lounge. When we arrived. The front desk didn't have my name on the reservation. It caused some confusion.
Challenging Course
Nice trek, the course favors straight shots with plenty of OB. Definitely challenging for golfers of all levels. Greens in excellent shape. Worth the drive !
Great course for the price!
Great course for the price. Definitely worth it. We will be back!
