Great course, but need to upgrade the carts
Beautiful challenging course! I just wish they would upgrade more of their carts. Ours was really noisy and jerky, but our playing partners got a quiet newer one.
A pleasant surprise
I haven’t had as much fun on a golf course since I played La Reunion in Guatemala 5 years ago (destroyed last summer by the volcano it was built on) and both of the courses at Giants Ridge last fall. And that is saying a lot. We had an absolute blast playing hilly Tianna country club. If I lived closer I’d play it every week. It was in terrific shape and many of the holes have a lot of interest. The hills gave it an amusement park kind of side fun just navigating the course. Generous fairways are easy to hit, but the many elevated tapered off greens made it challenging. The greens made it a little tough for me to get close enough to the flag to card birdies, but there will be plenty of pars for a mid handicap golfer who can drive the ball 240 plus yards. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun outing on a layout that’s sure to be different than your typical course. The tap beer was cold and the Bloody Mary with beef stick was pretty darn good too.
Great challenging course for all golfers
Besides being a challenging course, it offers a beautiful up north experience. This course is always in excellent condition and well maintained! A great price for the experience!
Challenging, long and fun.
Very challenging for any golfer because of length, humpback greens and terrain. But, very fun to play and the pace of play was great. Beautiful vistas on several holes. Will definitely try to come back soon.
Tianna!
Great views, well done maintenance for a north country course. #2 and #3 have beautiful settings.
Greens put pressure on iron play as they are elevated and sloped . Need to hit fairways and high irons to score. If you score within your hdcp your've played very well.
Nice facilities and employees.
very enjoyable
Visiting family in the area and booked hot deal on golf now. Beautiful woodland course in great condition. Lots of small elevated greens that were fast and true. Finished 18 in 3.5 hrs. Will be an annual stop.
Great Northern MN course
Great course and Great staff. Very Friendly.
Some beautiful views. Chance to see some wildlife. better be able to Chip. Small greens but roll very true.
Hilly so take a cart.
You will enjoy
Tianna
Met a couple who had local knowledge of the course. Had a great time. The cours is a challenge due to the hilly nature was in great shape. The greens were very nice. Would play it again when in the area.
Hills, Hills Hills!
This was my 2nd time playing Tianna. Got an absolute steal through Golfnow.com. There are a lot of very picturesque views on this course. But don't expect to be able to walk it. The course is extremely hilly. You are playing to an elevated green on more holes than you'd like. Due to all of the hills, you end up hitting a good deal of blind shots. The greens had recently been plugged, but other than that, the course was in excellent shape.
Great Course.
I was playing within minutes of my arrival and was very pleased with the condition and layout of the course. Challenging in places with some steep fairways. The 3rd hole is especially picturesque.
Great course
Great Course. Pace of play was excellent and a great value on GolfNow
In great early season shape
Course was in great shape for April. Greens were slow but not much winter kill. 3 hr. round!
