Best in the Adirondack
A high-quality green complex is needed, as the length is on the short side. The hilly nature of the fairways is also a great equalizer. They reportedly invested several million dollars in the course, and it shows. It was a cow pasture when I played here 10 years ago. Having an excellent restaurant with a great view is also an added benefit. For the cost, it’s a good value.
Real fun course
This course is going through an extensive renovation by architect Steve durkee (Okemo, Brattleboro, Williston)
All 18 holes are open and playable with a lot of construction going on. Greens are in best shape I have ever seen them and they have a total of 3 brand new holes open for play.
This course when completed in 2019 will be one of the best around.
The staff starting with the head pro George is always in a great mood and very helpful.
Great course!
Ticonderoga golf course is a challenging test, but not impossible. Quite a few hills that can punish a misplaced shot. The brook that runs through the course will swallow golf balls if your not careful. Play the wind and really check your lines on the green and you will score well. Hitting a long ball is not always the best shot, so check the yardage. Excellent staff and George the pro is an amazing teacher. A must play course!
