Once a Year
After playing MapleMoor it reinforced why I play a. county course maybe once a year and usually first time out. And advice to new players......learn the etiquette of the game. I don’t care if you shoot 130, don’t play from the BACK TEES, know when to pick up and move on, don’t yell “get in the hole” on every singles putt, don’t move when someone is about to hit, have at least part of a clue as to how to conduct yourself. Until then stay at the driving range and take a lesson. As for the course, cutting and rolling the greens would be a start. Setting the course up to play from the actual yardages on perhaps half the holes would be an improvement. I could go on but it won’t help. I hope the other county tracks are in better shape than MM considering how much money was out into this one. Westchester has a rich golf history but the county run courses are a disgrace compared to other publics I’ve been to around the country.
Forget reviews, find out for yourself
I stayed away from Maple cause reviews were mostly bad. Well I was pleasantly surprised at experience playing was great, guys paired with were awsome. Greens little on slow side but still early in season will definitely be back. Recommend during week, wknds might be real crowded

We play every Sunday for past 2 years. The staff is excellent. Tommy pro great and helpful. The greens have been good depending on time of year. The conditions have improved since the reno.

Great course
Top 1 or 2 public course in Westchester. With all public courses. it tends to get quite crowded so pace of play is somewhat slow
Always a good time at Maple Moor
As shocking as it reads for someone who lives in New York, I teed it up on 4 December… Pace of play was excellent as you might expect, there were not a lot of people out there, but the course was in surprisingly great shape. It’s a good track, with a challenging back nine and some elevated greens that make the round fun for all levels of golf.

Always a good course to play ...... but now beyond the end of the season. Worse for wear!

Restaurant Sucks
Had the displeasure of meeting proprietor Joe Mangi who apparently went to a charm school in the former Soviet Union. Apparently, trying to avoid the unmasked, un-distance crowds inside by sitting at the outside tables was a personal inconvenience for him. Patrons and the most junior dishwashers seem to get just about the same lack of respect. Avoid.

slow pace
play pace is too slow. I bought 18 holes, tee time was 2:18pm, and started a little bit early 2:08. but I end up 9 holes round 5pm, almost 3 hours for 9 holes, other than this, everything was perfect today !
