Excellent condition, slow pace of play
Course was in excellent condition, particularly given the amount of play. Unfortunately, the pace of play was slow. We waited on nearly every shot beginning on the third hole. Didn’t see any marshals on the back 9. Can’t say whether anything was done to address the issue but something should have been.
Staff was terrific. Friendly and professional.
All in, I would recommend this course.
Super Day
Arrived early today for breakfast and enjoyed the meal and the service of our waitress. Shopped around the wide selection of the Pro Shop for a souvenir shirt and really enjoyed the golf experience and the course attendants.
Hope to return again.
Love the course
Play here for about 5 days every year since 2010
Always great. Drinks are too high….
WORTH THE DRIVE
My wife and I always stay on the east end of Perdido Key when visiting Orange Beach, so it was a 38 minute drive for me. I played Kiva a few years ago and thought I would try it again. Wise choice! They put me with another single and we smoked around the course! Really great experience!! Going back in two days!! Thank you to all the staff!!
First time player
So I was very excited to play this course and it did not let me down. From the minute you pull in you are greeted by a friendly person at the bag drop. Then immediately tell you where the range is and practice area. I was a single and I expected to be paired up. And I got paired up with a another single. The course was in great shape the rough is brutally hard, I just wish I played a set of tees back further as my tee shots went into water or through the fairway but that's not their fault.
The only fault I can make of this course is that there were six twosomes in front of us and the one in the front was very slow so there was times we had four sets of twosomes on one tee. Please just pair people up or make sure someone's out there to make the front people play quicker.
I'm not sure it's worth $140 but I would pay 90 to Play it again.
Great day at Kiva Dunes
The entire staff was super friendly and gave excellent customer service. The great course was amazing. Only grip was pace of play. I believe it was a 5 hour round.
Beautiful course
Excellent course and tough to play especially in the rain but overall very well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful definitely want to play again in better weather!
Great course
Friendly professional staff, on time tee off time and always great course conditions. well worth the trip to the course from Gulf Shores.
Great course
Great course. Played here multiple times. Staff is great. Would recommend to beginners or advanced players.
Great course
This is my 5th time playing Kiva. Always in good shape. Staff is awesome. Tee boxes make it fun for everyone. Would recommend it to beginners or experienced golfers.
It's ok.
Played for the first time after hearing good things about it. It's ok, I wouldn't play it again, nothing special. Glad I got the twilight rate, full price would hv been painful
Punched Greens
My review is partially for Golf Pass… Golf Pass did not post on their booking site that the greens were just punched . The staff at Kiva were accommodating for the round. But we would not have played at Kiva if we had known. To many good local options instead of a $100 round on punched greens. Not Kiva’s fault, we played and had fun as usual. Kiva has always been one of our yearly courses to play when we are on Vacation.
Other that the greens, the course was very nice and yes, I keep forgetting about the blind hazards.
Staff is wonderful and nice. Kiva gets 5 Star, Gold Pass gets 3.5 Stars.

Back 9 Pin Positions were silly
My buddies and I just returned home from our annual beach/golf trip. We played Kiva Dunes, Peninsula, GlenLakes and Perdido Bay. Peninsula is at the top of that list. We found the back 9 pin positions at Kiva dunes to be incredibly difficult. The greens were in great shape as well as the course itself. I had 3 birdies on the front and 3 3 jacks on the back... We all hated the pin positions on the back. Everything else was great. We decided we would put Kiva on the back burner in the future and always play Peninsula and Perdido Bay. Will probably play Craft Farms and Lost Key next year as well.
Difficult greens
My husband and I played and very much enjoyed our round. There were a few blind shots and I found the greens very difficult to read and putt but I am sure that was just me, not the perfectly manicured greens!!
