Punched Greens
My review is partially for Golf Pass… Golf Pass did not post on their booking site that the greens were just punched . The staff at Kiva were accommodating for the round. But we would not have played at Kiva if we had known. To many good local options instead of a $100 round on punched greens. Not Kiva’s fault, we played and had fun as usual. Kiva has always been one of our yearly courses to play when we are on Vacation.
Other that the greens, the course was very nice and yes, I keep forgetting about the blind hazards.
Staff is wonderful and nice. Kiva gets 5 Star, Gold Pass gets 3.5 Stars.

Back 9 Pin Positions were silly
My buddies and I just returned home from our annual beach/golf trip. We played Kiva Dunes, Peninsula, GlenLakes and Perdido Bay. Peninsula is at the top of that list. We found the back 9 pin positions at Kiva dunes to be incredibly difficult. The greens were in great shape as well as the course itself. I had 3 birdies on the front and 3 3 jacks on the back... We all hated the pin positions on the back. Everything else was great. We decided we would put Kiva on the back burner in the future and always play Peninsula and Perdido Bay. Will probably play Craft Farms and Lost Key next year as well.
Difficult greens
My husband and I played and very much enjoyed our round. There were a few blind shots and I found the greens very difficult to read and putt but I am sure that was just me, not the perfectly manicured greens!!
Gone with the wind
Tough winds with gusts close to 30. Difficult to stop the ball when chipping on the green. Course conditions ie turf etc were fine. Always a nice course to play.
Bar staff after play were not friendly.
Too notch golf course
Kiva Dunes is a top notch golf course. Great layout that’s challenging. Course was in great condition and staff was nice/helpful. Pace of play was comfortable; our round took right at 4 hrs (3some). Will come and play again.
Gotta’ Play This One
Great track with very nice laid out holes. Greens in very good condition and putt true. Gotta Play This One!
Great Gulf Shore course
Kiva Dunes was a fun course to play. The staff was friendly and.very helpful
The course was in good shape, but not fully out of winter dormant stage. Greens were rolling true and with good speed. I recommend this course to all my GN friends.
Nice challenges great staff
First time playing this course and it’s a first class operation. The check in was quick and easy, bag drop convenient too. Starter was helpful with tips for someone not playin here before. The pace was right at four hours. The course was in good shape with true roll on the greens. Only suggestion I would make is to have the beverage cart people go backwards against the flow of golfers. You get to see them more often as we saw them twice yesterday.
For the price to play Kiva Dunes we were surprised their golf carts did not have gps.
This course has potential
Holes were too close together, we felt like we were dodging golf balls. Could do a better job identifying holes
Worth the Drive
As always friendly staff excellent service and experience will have great memories at Kiva Dunes
Course was in great shape kudos to the maintenance team members!
Thanks again Steve and Marnie from Washington State
Ps Eat SugarBee apples...I know apples they are the best!
