About Pursell Farms

Pursell Farms is known to golfers by the name of its unique course, FarmLinks. Both are nestled into the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Guests get comfortable in luxury cabins, cottages, rooms at the Inn (40), Parker Lodge, the Orvis Farmhouse or Historic Hamilton Place, dating to 1852. Beyond golf, the sporting clays course at the ORVIS Shooting Grounds is popular, as is the Spring House Spa. Dining at Arrington restaurant or Old Tom's Pub sets everyone at ease. Bocce ball, outdoor pool, fitness center and walking and biking trails are also available.

The people out here are amazing everyone was as nice as they could be and the course was mostly cart path only and it was still an amazing experience

Pursell Farms is excellent

Enjoyed the round even in the face of 5.5" of rain the night before and windy conditions. Layout of the course was excellent with no blind shots. Extra elevation and cart path only lead to extra exercise. Greens were immaculate, receptive and rolled smooth. It's $150 worthy.

Farmlinks at Purcell Farms

We were on a Gents trip to Robert Trent Jones Trail and added Farmlinks. For early February, course was in really good shape. Greens were best of trip. We all thought the course was fun and fair. The best holes were the hilly elevations in the woods. Friendliest staff I’ve experienced, and amenities were great. We also really appreciated all the historical plaques along the course.

If you are doing RTJ Trail, definitely make a stop at Farmlinks.

The course is beautiful and fun to play. 4 stars on condition is harsh, really more like a 4.7 but If you play late in the evening like we did then expect the greens to be rough aroumd the hole. There are a few courses close that are just as nice for half price though.
