One of the best in Alabama
Farmlinks is a totally wonderful experience from the time that you take your clubs out of your trunk to putting them back in. Let's start with the terrific lunch and wonderful service both in the dining room and then in the pro shop. It's clear that these folks really appreciate you visiting their facility.
And that course...what a great layout! Without a doubt, Farmlinks might be the most immaculately maintained public golf course that I have ever played! The greens, tee boxes, bunkers, and fairways were all pristine.
The course itself has a number of memorable holes, but 2 of the par 3's, in particular, will stick with you throughout your golfing days. The par 3 5th hole is one of the most challenging, and beautiful holes I've ever played. There are a number of elevated tee boxes to choose from as you peer down on a green that's some 175 feet below you. It's just spectacular! The par 3 17th hole holds its own to with a long carry over a lake to a smallish green.
If you get a chance to venture to Sylacauga, AL, be sure to stop and play Farmlinks!
There's a reason it's rated number 1
Just an amazing track. Beer is expensive from the cart so get it in the clubhouse. Also don't miss the Barrell of chilled apples on the first tee. Greens roll smooth and don't have much break to them. Just loved my day here.
Course is so pure!
I played a lot of nice courses and this is hands-down the best overall experience I’ve had between the quality of the range, the course itself and the friendliness of the staff.
The fairways are like carpet and the greens roll very smooth.
Definitely will be making trips to this course a tradition.
Farmlinks
Always enjoy playing but could not if “TEEOFF” was. Not available.
Great Course
Course is always in immaculate condition. Staff is always personable and accommodating. One of the best public courses in Alabama. Challenging but fair test.
Worth your time
First time playing here and highly recommend it. When people come to town to visit this will be the course I bring them to, to make sure they have a great time, enjoy the round, and be impressed from the drive in to the drive on 18.
Awesome Farmlinks Experience
Farmlinks is one of my all time favorite courses. I love the layout, it’s in awesome condition and the staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful.
Best course anyone can play!
Farmlinks’s is always a top pick. Excellent condition, friendly staff, great amenities.
Pristine Conditions
Pristine course, not a blade of grass out of place. For the Course to be in as good of shape as it is in the middle of a heat wave shows me the care they put into it. Top notch practice area with courtesy TP5 balls. The course itself is a good challenge without being overwhelming. Not an easy track by any means, but you are rewarded with scoring opportunities for good shots. Just be smart about the teebox you choose- even the 2nd (Copperhead) plays about 7K yards. Only somewhat downside to my round was I just happened to come on a day where it was path only. Not a knock on the course but I would have planned a different day had I known prior. But if youve never played Pursell youre missing a treat!
Heaven On Earth
The Beat Course in Alabama. The Greens are the softest greens I’ve ever played. The entire facility is first class. The staff are polite and the pro shop is superb. The greens are so soft and played pure and true. I cant give enough praise to this place. It’s A golfers Dream and a little slice of Heaven On Earth! Play FarmLinks! . . .
Amazing
Easily one of my favorite courses I’ve ever played at
First time drop
