Very nice course
Very warm however course was in good condition considering the heat. Pay attention to sheet given showing distance to dog leg. May not want to pull out your driver on every hole. Greens were a little bumpy. Found it odd that you can't stop in the clubhouse too cool off and maybe grab a hot dog or something after the first 9 holes. Course isn't designed that way. You have to play all 18 before you will come back towards the clubhouse. Also didn't like the way the only bathroom is on I believe it is the 14th hole. So much for drinking a lot of fluids to stay hydrated in the summer heat. Course has beautiful scenery and is very challenging you definitely want to bring your A game if you plan on golfing here.
Great course however...
Amazing course you can't go wrong with it but it played extremely wet! Every drive plugged and never roled! I was suprised when I walked up to my ball and saw where it landed and saw mud on it! Overall it's a great course just a little too wet!
Trogon North
Great course in great shape. Especially considering it was 114 degrees the two days we were there. Fun to play. Fairway were wide enough but if you missed you usually lost your ball. Rate was heavily discounted because of the weather. I would love to play it again depending on the price.
Arizona golf at it's finest!
First time playing this course and it was just amazing. Wasn't sure what kind of condition it would be in because of the hot summer. To my surprise it was in just perfect shape.
Best condition in Scottsdale.
I don't know how Troon keeps there course in such good shape, while all the other tracks around the valley are badly scared by the high temps.
It was a great round.
Go play Troon and see for yourself....
Great First Time Experience
The staff were excellent and the course was in very good shape.
Great Course Even in Summer Heat
The day peaked at 107 the day played. Either it was cooler up there on the back 9 of Monument or the views were so stunning we didn't notice the heat.
Great deal during the summer...looking to go back and play pinnacle in the next couple of weeks.
Wonderful Course
I've wanted to play this course for some time as I've read so much about it. The course was empty as I started my round at 2:00 and was in the bar before 5:30. Recent rain (monsoon season) set the course up for good scoring opportunities. Fun course, go play it!
eyes sores greens
Putting Greens not up to standard on Pinnacle course. Slow bumpy patches on greens.
awesome views
Course was in great shape the greens were a little bumpy, was told only bent grass in the valley. They were bumpy because they had a little pona(not sure spelling) on them. Very slow 4 1\2 to 4 3/4 hours . 3 ladies playing in front of us would not let us play through, 3 groups backed up behind them marshal didn't say a word just offered us a cold towel.
Great course but not the best
I prefer Quitero, Gold canyon Dinausor and The Boulders but this course is in good shape for july.
Awesome!
You've got to play this course. It's in amazing shape, amazing views, and great staff. Bring a camera for each postcard shot. And do not go into the desert looking for your ball. High snake danger.
great!!!!!!
Wow.
Excellent course conditions and good course layout.
Nice shape for Phoenix in July
Course is in good shape for middle of July in Phoenix. Tee to Green was nice and not patchy. Greens were somewhat slow and bumpy compared to top tier courses in the valley but still soft and very receptive so don't let that sway your decision to play here. Staff were great. Played early afternoon and once I got through a foursome never saw another sole on the course!!
The benchmark for good golfers!!
The Pinnacle course is a great challenge to all golfers, but most specifically good golfers.
Since many courses are catered to the average player, we as better golfers get bored.
It is a challenge for long hitters, due to the desert design and narrowing fairways. Short hitters... Forgetaboutit! Tee it forward.
Enjoy it boys and girls!
Wow!
First time playing Pinnacle and was not disappointed. For summer time, course was in great condition, with the fairways a bit soft (maybe its a Troon Golf maintenance concern) and the greens very receptive. Pay attention to the yardage guide and you'll score well.
Not as good as Monument
I think Monument Course is a much better course and more fun to play.
Great Layout
This course has a great view of the desert. The conditioning is top notch. The layout is very challenging and rewarding.
K pallett
Beautiful interesting course in great shape.Beautiful interesting course in great shape.
Great experience
Last played Troon North about 10 yrs ago...still the same Troon quality. Everything was superb for mid June in AZ! Not a blade of grass out of place and staff was helpful as usual. Couldn't ask for more. I'll play it again before we leave the valley thanks to GolfNow!
