Troon North
A superior golf outing in every way possible. Beautiful course conditions along with the views of the northern valley
A must play course amount the crown jewels of Scottsdale.
The Best Course in the Phoenix Area
Folks this is the gem of the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Staff is great, The fairways are better than your carpeting at home.
got a great deal through Golf Now. We played in 4 hours and there was only 1 hole that was "cart path only". Water every other hole and I just can't say enough about the Pinnacle course at Troon.
Greens were punched 3 weeks ago and rolled fairly fast but a tad bumpy. Still, this is a course you must play.
Awesome course, one of my all time favorites to play.
Played an afternoon round in June because it's a course I don't want to miss with in Phoenix. Fairways were immaculate. Green were a little off due to aerating a few weeks earlier, but we knew that going in. The only disappointment was the pace. The foursome in front of us ended up at least two holes behind the group in front of them and seemed to be wasting time at each hole on the back nine. We did not see a Marshall on the back. Other than that everything was good on this great course.
challenging course
Lots of holes with great views, bring your A game and extra balls
Best of Best!
I was having such a great time every hole had a different view of the desert!!
So nice to be out at Troon North it was more than I ask for !
Will go back again !
Great time at Troon North ^_^
Challenging golf
Very challenging course, fairways were soft early due to sprinklers. Greens were fast enough. Not as fast as Quintero or whisper rock, but I'd say they were the next "gear" down. Certainly faster than 75% of what I've played out here. Service carts and club staff friendly. Pace was about 4 hours. The facility looks a little "tired" but I wasn't there for a wedding reception, so who cares!! Play it, you'll like it.
Stunning
On vacation from England and left this course till last having already played 6 other very good courses in the Phoenix area. I have to say this was the best course we played and is now in my all time top 5, and considering I've played many of the big courses in England, Scotland, Spain and Portugal this tells you just how good it was. The pace was a bit slow but they did have a corporate event on however the views on the course were so good we were in no rush to finish. Fabulous course in great condition and would recommend it to any golfer who appreciates great courses.
Great condition
Played the Pinnacle course at the first tee time of the day for $60 through Golfnow. Well conditioned course. Playable yet challenging.
Superb
Parcours a jouer une fois dans sa vie
Dessin sublime et entretient merveilleux
Un vrai challenge
Fantastic course...but gruelingly slow
Played yesterday. THe course is magnificent - challenging enough, but very fair. Good for many different skill levels. Started around 3 pm and the website boasts 4.24 hour round so I was hopeful we would complete our round. Unfortunately, by dusk at 7:30 we still had 3 holes to play. Had we finished it would have been a 5+ hour round. I REALLY loved the course. Just wish play moved a bit quicker, especially if the greens fees are not adjusted for the inability to complete the round. Course marshalls should do a better job of keeping up the pace of play.
wonderful place
the facility and design are fabulous. staff was superb. layout and views are great. wonderful eperience. my only critiism is that he greens were very slow and the surfaces were not of the quality i remember fom past visits. it was mid april and maybe they had just one some maintenance....but at that pricepoint i certainly expected better greens. I had inner there and the food and serice were great
Amazing Course
The course was immaculate. You can't beat the landscape, the scenery and the location. Honestly the best, most picturesque course I have ever played.
The group ahead of us was pretty slow moving, which is why the pace rating is low, and we didn't stay for food or beverages, so I wasn't sure about that rating either. But this place deserves 5 stars, for sure. Gorgeous!
Keep it in the fairway
Troon North Pinnacle is a beautiful and very difficult course. Keep your driver in the bag for most holes and make sure you hit it in the fairway. Don't challenge the course or it will bite you more than the snakes. (we didn't see snakes but you get it). It's about the second shot. Being 100-150 out is ideal. Greens aren't too difficult if you keep it close. The sand was much nicer than other desert courses. I don't think I would pay 200 again but it was a good one and done experience.
Beautiful course.
The course was meticulously maintained in every aspect. The greens were a bit slower than I expected but overall it was a fantastic round. We were paired with a very slow golfer but still finished in four hours. The marshall griped at us multiple times and threatened to make us skip a hole. I understand this except for the fact that we left the group behind us by atleast two holes. The staff was excellent except for the grumpy marshall.
Troon North Monument
For $200 a round the Fairways and views were spectacular, however, the greens were not in great shape, a lot of divot holes and the ball bounced across the green when putting
Absolutely beautiful!
The course is very well manicured. The condition was amazing.
Challenging Beauty
Nice layout and great conditions. Target oriented course that will test your skills and patience.
Troon Monument was fun
it was a great course, had a friend who had a Troon pass, so we plaid 140 for the round. The greens where a little rough, but was fun.
Great Course-
While pricey in full season ($250) the course never fails to impress with great conditions and beautiful views. A fair lay-out to be sure.
Probably better values to be had in Scottsdale during high season.
Front desk staff was rather rude dealing with us on the subject of one member of our foursome not joining us- They wanted to charge us the full greens fees for him and we had to battle with them.
Greens were terrible
I loved the course design and I would recommend it however, the greens were so slow and absolutely covered in unrepaired ball barks that it took away from the enjoyment. Just a reminder to each group to repair their marks would help. They really were a disaster for what they charge.
