A classic
First day of four in scottsdale. troon lived up to its reputation as being one of, if not, THE best course in AZ.
This course was in pristine shape!
Course was in pristine shape, with perfect fairways. It played quickly and was a great day with fantastic views from tee box.
Great Course---Inflated Gren fees
An awesome course for WOW factor and visual scenery. Course difficulty is moderate slope is considerable but it does not play difficult. Green speed 10-11. Fairways generous off the tee. Approach shots are the key to success. Bunkers a pristine.
Great condition!
We played the pinnacle course. It was a good challenge. Great condition and fair.
great course, if you have the money.
The only downside was the $300 green fee. Everything was pristine and the course was challenging.
This is a must play in Scottsdale
I know its expensive but this is truly one of the jewels of the desert. I played the monument course. Beautiful design that offers a fair challenge. I'd personally recommend playing one tee up from normal as you do have several blind type shots. We played with a forecaddie and let me tell you it is worth the $30 for one of those. They can really help you. I never lost one ball and I always knew where the hole went and what proper placement was supposed to be. Fantastic food and beverage facility as well. Staff was incredibly nice. I had a great time and so did my dad. We played the course in 4.2 hours with our foursome. The course was crowded but we never really had to wait nor did the group behind us have to wait.
Great day and lots of fun challenging holes
All was perfect except two things Marshall did not move along group that was way too slow more than a hole behind clearly did nothing when asked. Should have finished in 4 hours easily was 4 hrs 45 minutes. Secondly, when round was finished carts all over the parking lot no one to wash clubs so stopped cart took bags gentleman at starter table informed us of our not leaving cart parked in wrong place etc., well then do your job. Most Troon courses never miss . It was a free round from golf channel, if I would have paid 200 Bucks would have said more.
Great course!
Troon golf does it right. I have never been disappointed playing at a Troon course and this is one of thier best.
Great place to enjoy and play golf
Excellent golf course. Expensive but, worth it. Excellent condition, very challenging, beautiful views everywhere. If back in Scottsdale, I'd definetly play it again.
I Love Troon North
This course is in excellent condition and a lot of fun to play. Really challenging and beautiful scenery. Prefer Pinnacle but this course is excellent
Overpriced. Horribly slow pace of play.
Went for a desert course, got a housing development. Not worth the substantial greens fee.
Expensive but worth it!!
Fantastic day of golf and dining at Troon North. Great course, friendly staff and just an overall great day!!
Great Course!...but very pricey
Loved this track. Very nice with great views. That back nine on the Monument was fantastic!
My only negative would be the cost is pretty high so when I come across a promotion to play again, I can't wait to go back!
Great views on the Pinacle course.
I think for the price, 179.. and it will get to be more, as time goes on., there are alot better courses around for a cheaper price. Troon North is a course for sightseers. I was a bit disappointed in the over condition of the course, thought it would be more pristine than it was. When a person pays that kind of money, i think the course should be immaculate;;; not so here. I think everyone should play it once, and see what they think. I wont go back for that price. Too many other courses in the valley that are stars above Troon North.
Expensive but a great time!
This is the showplace for golf in Scottsdale and Troon Golf Management Company.
pricey but nice
Solid track with everythibng in front of you. Great design with every hole different from the next.
Awesome course!
This is truely desert golf at it's best! Very good condition and a very nice facility, oh and the views are worth the play of golf, did not want to forget this!
Great test of golf, very difficult greens
The greens were pretty much impossible to read, it is amazing that the putts always break and are downhill towards Phoenix, no matter what it looks like when you read them. Local knowledge in that respect goes a long way. Aside from the frustration in not being able to sink any putts outside 5 feet the course is really the real deal. There are challenges everywhere, many of the tee shots are visually confusing but there is good information provided on the course map. Also, there is essentially no rough, its just fairways then desert, but the fairways are not overly narrow. I would definitely play this course again next time I am in the Scottsdale area and hope to have my revenge on the putting surface.
Fivesomes allowed.
We waited for 15 holes and the advisor did nothing. Ruined a good day for our foursome.
Top quality golf facility
Troon courses are some of the best in AZ. If you can afford the extra cost over other courses, you must play this course.
