Exceptional golf course
Enjoyed every hole. each hole is a unique challenge.
Challenging course with great views
The course was in very good shape. The staff were cordial, and the views were spectacular.
The only problem I have with the Gold Canyon Golf Resort Courses is that the courses are heavily occupied with maintenance personnel who are at times quite distracting.
Great Sunday Morning
Had a great time at Gold Canyon. Staff is friendly, good views, and a great breakfast buffett!
Course was in great shape and fun to play!
Course was in pretty good shape overall. The only issue was a few spots throughout the course with a small amount of standing water from the heavy rain the night before, this resulted in cart path only which is not ideal during the summer months. Overall the course was in good shape and fun to play. Greens were a 6 out of 10, hard and kinda dry considering the rains effect on the fairways.
This is a great course at a great deal during the summer.
Great course, great views, well maintained resort course. Each hole is memorable. As compaired to the sister course, the Dinosaur, this Sidewinder course is much more playable with less elevation changes, however it can also be more difficult. Try it and find out why.
Great layout . great views
Don't miss the opportunity to play this course . The course is in very good shape. the greens were in good shape just a little slow, but expected for this time of year. I booked on golfnow.com and got a great deal . All of the staff was very friendly, I felt like I was a member of a country club. Go play sidewinder while they have these great prices.
Awesome yet challenging course
I really enjoyed this course from the well kept condition for July and also for the beautiful scenery. I can't wait to return and play Dinosaur park next time
Fun to play n challenging
Great course but in summer could use some water containers on course if the cart gal can't keep up
great views and just an awesome place to golf
the views and surrounding homes make for a great way to enjoy a round of golf. the was in perfect condition, even with the work that was going on. from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated wonderfully. the only thing I can say was not perfect was the staff at the counter must not be morning people.
GC Resort
The Gold Canyon Sidewinder course was in great summer shape. The greens rolled well and the layout was moderate to difficult. Pace of play was great so we kept in rhythm. We finished our round in approximaely 3.5 hours. What makes the GC Resort stand out is the professionalism of the staff, and gorgeous views. Oh yeah, the course is kind of nice too, LOL. I would definitely recommend playing this course. Our group will be back.
Spectacular views.
Dinasour Mountain. Liked the course. Lots of elevation changes. Relatively short from the white tees so it's good for us short ball hitters. It's mid July so the course is stresssd right now, but that will end as the monsoons come in. Staff was friendly and helpful starting right with the bag drop staff.
Great Summer Value - Course in Great Summer condition
Played Sidewinder and it provided a good challenge. I played the white since I had never played it before but if you have average distance off the tee recommend backing up one tee box as several of the par 4's were too short. I actually scored worse because I got into trouble off the tee that wouldn't have experienced if had teed off from a tee further back.
Fun and easy to play
Sidewinder is a fun and easy to play 18 compared to the more challenging Dinosaur Mountain. It is a great warm up to the Dinosaur Mountain course. Excellent condition and less expensive than the other course. I recommend this for couples or players who want an enjoyable round to play.
Very beautiful moutain shots
Very enjoyable round with a very scenic view. I would highly recommend this to anybody. Good value.
great course
loved playing this course what a challenge would play here anytime
Great Shape
For it being in the summer this course was in great shape the greens were nice and the fairways were nice. Overall this has to be one of the nicest courses I have played on!!
Worth The drive
Its a long drive from the West Valley but it is worth driving there. We played Dinasauer and it is and exellant layout..
great condition and service
SUPER...SUPER this is one of the best courses in az.the design makes all handicapers play hard..the maintance is second to none..would play again in a heart beat...ike
GREAT COURSE
WOW. GREAT COURSE, GREAT VIEWS. IT WAS WORTH THE DRIVE FROM SCOTTSDALE!!
The elevation changes and the views were spectacular.
The Dinosaur course was the best course i have played down here in the Valley. For a course in the summer the grass was everywhere green. The greens were true to putt on and several were double tiered, some were small and some were large. You will enjoy this course.
