Great day at Eagle Mountain! Photo submitted by uOQDZ5699OQ on 09/26/2012
Excellent condition!
Played in 3:35 and was impressed by the layout and conditions.
Lots of slope on the greens and elevation changes from tee to green were challenging and fun.
1st Time Playing, Lasting Memory
What a great day at a fabulous golf course. The course is gorgeous and the facilities are outstanding, There are numerous vistas on the course, and the views everywhere were outstanding. The course itself was outstanding with nice firm fairways and surprisingly good greens for this time of year.We played in 4 hours and 10 minutes and could only drive in the rough.
I have played most of the "top" courses in the valley and this one is right there. Just a great day of golf.
Beautiful day, lovely course
The course plays fair but longer than measured due elevated greens. Fairways tend to funnel the ball away from lateral hazards. Pace of play was reasonable despite a full tee sheet. Plenty of beautiful vistas to gaze at while you wait for your next shot..
All in all, my wife and I enjoyed the experience and intend to return.
Pleasant Surprise
I have not played EM since they did all the upgrades and was pleasantly with the improved fairways, the staff seemed friendlier than in the past and the conditions for after overseed were excellent. The ability to drive in the rough was beneficial too as it has many inclines to cart paths. The greens were a bit slow as expected. The course was wonderful! I would go back an play it again today
Great shape and great views
We have played this course for years and when we come down we make it a point to play it. It was cart path only, but they allow you to drive on the rough. They have a big practice facilitiy to warm up on. I only play the whites and it was enough for what my game is. Play it enough and you can use the hills to your benefit. You have views of the valley from numerous holes and you can see camelback mountain.
Awsome Course
This is a great course, challenging and fun. We played it on the first day of opening (I think). Carts weren't allowed on the fairway, rough only between the cart path and fairway which was not a problem and still played in 4 hours and waiting on most holes on the back nine. Back nine was a little slower, I believe because the holes are more challenging. Pro Shop staff were friendly, as was the starter and cart guys. Will play again.
Great golf course!
Eagle Mountain is truly one of the best layouts in the entire Phoenix valley. They had excellent greens and overall is in great conditions for summer in Arizona. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and I would recommend this course to any golfer! Must play! Thanks Eagle Mtn for a great time!
Beautiful course
exceptional course and in pretty good shape considering they received an abundance of rain...cart path only made it a long difficult wet humid day. This course has a lot of slope and every green and fairway is a hike from the cart path. The ranger was pushing to try to keep a 4 hour round in wet cart path only conditions which is impossible. The manager attempted to address the issue, all in all the facility and golf course is breathe taking.
Awesome coures
Eagle Mtn is probably one.of the best courses you can play in the area. Great condition, challenging layout, very nice amenities, plenty of water on the course to drink and a tremendous golf course!
Air Radied
Was very disappointed that it was not published on golf now that they just air radied the greens and Faiways. The pro shop said that they asked GolfNow to add it to there site but they refused to do so.I would have played somewhere else. Not very happy with GolfNow .Lesson learned call the pro shop and confirm before booking on the deceptive GolfNow.
Fountain Hills course
Course layout and facilities are excellent but course is in average shape from tee to green. Greens are average speed and bumpy. Pace of play was average given the course edict of 4 hours and 24 minutes. Got a great deal on Golf Now but only recommend playing course if one is able to get one. Greens will be aerated on July 9 so check before reserving.
Great course
My omly issue was the greens were inconsistent. Hard to judge speed.
Great track
Nice layout with tees that brings as much challenge as you wantt to biite off.Great staff and they make a priority of making your round under 4 ours 30 min.The only thing slightly negative was the greens were not very smooth to roll putts on and a few bumpy...otherwise a good experience
