Great day at Eagle Mountain! Photo submitted by uOQDZ5699OQ on 09/26/2012
Good Course but in rough shape in many spots
This course has bad water issues and it shows. Overall it's a fun course.
Easy off the tee.
Easy to stay in bounds off the tee. Easy course to score well on for high handicap player like myself. Enjoyed the greens.
Good course
All holes are different, great layout, the greens are quick and in great shape!!
Slow play, hard but beautiful.
The course is not in great shape and there were way too many people playing so play was slow. Very hard and long but incredibly beautiful.
Good Layout
This course has an outstanding practice facility and a great layout. When I played this course, access to the fairways was limited to the rough as the course was over seeded the week before.
Very difficult course to walk - hills. I asked the ranger for a handicap flag to allow riding on the fairways. Made the course better and easier to play.
Would recommend this course as well as play again.
Giant funnel
Amazing views great elevation and most shots will funnel back in to the fairway
Some great views
A fun course to play
Some challenging holes to keep any golfer satisfied
Needs repair
I was very surprised at the condition of the fairways. They were in poor shape for a course of this caliber. I have always enjoyed playing this course but would think twice if they didn't improve.
One of our favorite courses in Scottsdale -- actually anywhere
This is a perfect course for the "sport" golfer -- it has incredible views on a course that is well maintained, and while the holes are intimidating with good bunkering and undulating fairways, it is very, very playable for the "average" golfer, because the roughs tend to keep the ball in play off the tee on relatively wide fairways. It is a mountain course, so you won't get a lot of flat lies, but virtually every hole is could be a signature hole on most courses. Very friendly staff, well marked fairways, and a good pro shop. We can't wait to play it again next year.
Eagle mountain
Love this course. Offers every level of golfer a great place to play. Superb elevation changes yet playable course.
Great Views on a Fun Course
Booked this round online for a reasonable Friday afternoon price. The course had obviously been overseeded not too long ago as the rough areas where pretty weathered. The local rule at the time of my round was to keep carts off of the fairway. This had the unintended consequence of causing everyone to drive down each hole parallel with the fairway instead of using the cart path causing one half of the hole to be in worse shape than the other.
Pace of play was pretty bad on the front. This was likely due to the local cart rules in effect. I witnessed members of the group in front of us having to go to and from their ball to get a different club on a number of occasions.Ultimately my group was unable to finish our round as we ran out of light on the 17th.
As is with most courses in this area during this time of year, the rates are more a function of demand from visitors than the condition of the course. While it felt like the price was a little high given the condition of some areas of the course, the fairways, greens and tee boxes were in good shape.
The views and changes in elevation are enough to bring me back to Eagle Mountain.
Nice lay up- and a good experience!
They recently over-seeded. Fairways were little "muddy" at places. Greens were very very slow.
Over all a very good experience. Will come back when course is in peak condition!
Need a players asst
Sloppy course. Over watered fairways. Mudd on the ball?. In Arizona. please! Good thing it was cheap to play 18
pro shop needs a lesson in manners and ettiquette.
Great course
This is a good course for the price. Really liked it. Tougher on the back 9. Not long but challenging. Would definitely play again.
Beautiful layout
Very challenging course with lots of uneven lies. Holes were spectacular and greens were fast with lots of undulations. Last day before overseeing so course wasn't has pristine as my wife remembers but had a very enjoyable day. We'll be back.
Golf in Fountain Hills
The course was in very good shape considering they were a week away from closing for over seeding. The greens were in excellent condition. Enough sets of tees to challenge every level of golfer including a 21 handicapper like me.
Great course!!!
Played Eagle Mountain with my wife. Except for a few bare spots in the fairways, the course was in great shape. Loved the elevation changes in many of the holes. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Fun course, challenging up/down climbs to greens
Overall fun day especially for 100deg temperature which is likely the reason for fast play with no holdups or pushes.
Good course
Great layout. Up and down canyons with fairways that feed to middle. Fairways were recently plugged. Greens were firm and medium fast. Staff is friendly.
Eagle Mountain
Beautiful course with beautiful views. There are a few bare spots on the fairways. Greens are in good shape. Lots of hills to climb.
