Nice and peaceful not a lot off noise for a resort course
All around excellent
Really enjoyed the round, greens, layout were excellent. Don’t miss this so playable track.
Look forward to returning here in the fall.
Great shape but had unusual length holes.
The staff members were more interested in talking to each other than us. They told us not to tee off early and the first tee box is not near the starter box. We teed off on time but the group in front of us had gone early (not in sight). On the back nine, the marshal told us we needed to speed up even though their GPS said we were exactly on time. We finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes as a foursome. The course had put two threesomes behind us. If you have a designated pace on your GPS then you should not tell people to speed up when they are on pace.
The course was in great shape but the configuration of hole length extremely variable. From the White tee box, many par fours were 420 to 430 yards but some were under 300 yards. Unusual layout. The bunkers were numerous and well placed but many fairway bunkers had 1/8 inch of sand over hardpan.
Must play. This course is being slept on
1000 percent i would plan a trip to play these two courses again. I play tons of golf and have become a little bit of a snob regarding golf courses. PLAY THESE TWO COURSES THEY ARE FANTASTIC CONDITIONS, PACE OF PLAY AND A VERY WELCOMING STAFF. Fantastic location also
Immaculate condition
Im a 2.7 index and our group played from the back tees. Wildfire is being slept on. Now this is one of my go to courses on my next trip December 2024. Both courses are in fantastic condition. The greens on the Palmer course were faster. The Palmer course tightens up in the landing areas off the tees. I believe the Faldo course had been over seeded a week before we played. The Faldo course in my opinion is an incredible design along with being playable from all tee boxes. LOTS OF BUNKERS BTW! Both courses: Tees manicured and flat, fairways slightly soft and the greens near flawless. Pace of play was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We happened to get paired up with a member and he was very helpful pointing out potential trouble. Fantastic person also It was very cool to see so many enormous cactus in a classic desert layout. I love these two courses and can't say enough great things about them.
Hot Deal!
Great day at wildfire, super value on the hot deal!
Well-Kept and Decent Value
Course was in great shape. Resort-style layout. Pace of play was excellent - we nearly had the place to ourself on a Sunday afternoon (3.5hr round). Decent value for the Scottsdale area where things tend to be pricey.
My girlfriend and I played the Faldo Course at Wildfire Golf Club early in the morning before work - a fun and enjoyable challenge.
The conditions were good, though not exceptional. The greens rolled well, but a few areas of the course could use some extra care. While the course doesn’t quite hit the “wow” factor, it’s a solid choice for an enjoyable round.
Fun and challenging course.
I have played this course numerous times over the years. Always in good condition except greens are at times slow. Just a fun course to play.
Great conditions
The course is in near perfect planeing conditions, regardless of the cartpath only. The only complaint was that when we finished the round, one of the gentleman that was there to clean the clubs was in such a hurry. He dumped the cooler next to my wife, splashed her with water and hit her with her bag as as he was pulling it off the cart.
Drink cart ran out of sandwiches by 1pm and no dogs or sandwiches at the turn. Your F&B manager needs to step up.
Wet course from overseeding a fact of life but always frustrating.
Decent course
The practice facilities were top notch and free of charge. I was happy to pay what we did as it was not peak season. The course was in good shape but was not a breathtaking layout by any means. Having to pay $12 for parking when you on a hotel site in the middle of nowhere was not the best way to end the day.
To slow
Lovely course , great place but Cart path only . I am afraid the course needs to be well marshalled as a lot of people seem unable to keep up with a reasonable pace of play
Good conditions
Good golf course, great greens and good pace of play.
