Great course
Great challenging course...excellent customer service all round. Thank You!
Hot
Cart lady Elaina was cool! Such a challenge. Gotta hand it to wildfire, they keep their courses in great shape even in summer. Traps were sandy. Greens a little slow but it poured rain the previous night. Thanks, I’ll be back JB.
Solid course! Greens were a bit slow, but to be expected in the summer heat. Not too crowded so pace of play was great. Amenities were fantastic, plenty of water as well
Course Back To Great Shape
Recently aerated and fairways and greens are back to good shape. Greens rolled fairly slow as still needing to be cut to normal playing level, since punched a month ago. Great desert layout and complement to the Faldo layout.
Must Play!
Courteous staff who make you feel welcome. Pristine practice facility to get loose before your round, water to stay hydrated throughout the course, refreshing ice towels at the turn, carts w/ GPS so you can pick a line/carry off the tee, well watered course (even a little too wet in some areas). Go play this course. You'll be glad you did.
Awesome
This course is in great shape for mid summer, highly recommend it. Great value for the price for this time of year.
Wildfire Palmer course
A great Arnie layout. It was 115° out so the pace was awesome. Greens weren’t rolling as fast as I would like. You could tell they poked them recently. They’re almost there. Maybe another week. Course is in great condition for this time of year. Palmer>Faldo.
Indoor staff 10/10
Title being stated I played there yesterday the inside staff were very kind and knowledgeable on course operations. However I didn’t get the same vibes outside from cart staff returned today knowing the cart I was on and I had left sunglasses in the passenger cubby. However they were not turned in. So as nice as the course was seeing as the outdoor staff isn’t honest I can’t see myself going back
Greens aerated, in lousy shape
I wish I knew the greens had been aerated recently. The Faldo course was in much better shape. Putting on the Palmer side was terrible.
Rude ProShop Staff
The course was great, but the pro shop staff was horrible.
I’ve never felt more unwelcome entering a place of business. The older guy at the register literally looked me up and down and scowled at me when I walked through the doors. Ive been playing this game for 26 years. This was the era where you didn’t get to play if you weren’t following the dress code. Due to this I dress in golf attire and always have my shirt tucked in.
But something about my presence and or appearance this guy did not enjoy.
After I checked in with the other staff, as I was walking back out the door i heard the older guy fire off some crude remark about me and how he was sick or all the “pre-paid” customers.
To say the least I was very off put by the remark. Especially since I book all my rounds via golfnow and usually pre-pay.
