About JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

The JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa is among the largest golf resorts in Arizona with 865 guest rooms and suites. It is an amenity of the next door Wildfire Golf Club, home to two full-length, 18-hole golf courses designed by Nick Faldo and Arnold Palmer. The resort features five pool areas, including a lazy river and water slide, as well as the more exclusive and quiet Griffin Bay pool area. There is also a fitness center, full-service Revive Spa and tennis courts. Managed by Marriott Golf, there is a kids program and kids play golf free at Wildfire Golf Club with a paid adult.

Greens were in amazing shape. Holes were fun. Short par fours were cool. Sand was plenty but not impossible.

Great Golfing Experience - but…

Overall great course and in very good condition but Bunker (Called sand traps) have no Sand at all

Loads of wilderness including coyotes & co

Will play the Faldo the other days - But Palmer requires straight shots and proper course management

Great, interesting layout, each hole had something different to challenge us. Course was in excellent shape, staff was Marriott friendly, can't go wrong.

Nice course

Course was in great condition. Pace of play was wonderful. Typical desert golf course. Balls were playable when easily found off fairways. Starter told us all the fairways were right in front of us. He was right, but the course was too boring. Straight out fairways. No signature, fun to play holes. Par 3's were boring.
