About JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa

Historic JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn dates back to 1936 and is set on 125 acres at the base of Camelback Mountain. This 425-room and suite property in a pueblo-style features a spa, tennis courts, heated outdoor pools, garden terraces and desert hiking trails. Camelback Golf Club features two 18-hole courses, the Padre (designed by Arthur Hills) and Ambiente (by Dana Fry and Jason Straka). In addition to these championship courses, there is also a small pitch 'n putt golf course onsite. Dining is highlighted by Lincoln Steakhouse & Bar, while Rita's Cantina & Bar is more casual with a southwest flair. Spa and poolside dining is also available. The golf club has American cuisine at Acacia. Spacious guest rooms feature outdoor living spaces and kitchenettes. Onsite car rental is available as well as 127,500 square feet of meeting space is available for large groups.

Great Course

Played Camelback Golf course and I was really impressed with the layout. Greens were excellent. Perfect day and staff very friendly. Challenging course and very picturesque. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone in the area.

Great Course

I liked this course. It was challenging but fair. Some very interesting holes. The course was in very good condition except for the fringe around the greens which needed more grass. The staff was friendly and the golf cart was very nice. It was clean and had a range finder built in.

Fun Links Course

Fun course to play, you need to hit is straight. Greens were a little long and slow. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great practice area. Cannot wait to play again when the greens are running faster.

Very enjoyable late May round. Early tee time as a twosome. Played through the 4-some ahead of us on the 2nd hole and finished in 3 hours. Very pretty and in great condition.

Ambiente is usually in decent shape. Greens are burnt up on the edges. Fairways are spotty at best. Lowering the price to justify the short comings.

As indicated in other reviews finishing holes are a little rough. Clubhouse, restaurant,golf shop,and snack bar all very nice. Course condition and layout nice. Not too much scenery. Was happy to play here but it wouldn't be at the top of my list to replay
