The Boulders Resort & Spa Scottsdale

What a beautiful, challenging course. I had wanted to play this course for years. It was well worth the wait. A little soggy in some places which produced a number of mud balls but well worth the drive. I plan to play it again soon.

Boulders north is a great golf course with plenty of challanging holes. Very scenic and full of wildlife.

So there were really bad reviews for the Boulders and we were very skeptical about playing there. I never played the Boulders and really wanted to play so we did it. Great round! The staff in the restaurant and golf shop were over the top good. We played the North course and it was in very good shape. I think the prior reviews were for the South course? Anyway I'll be back for sure!

5 stars for the course and staff. This is a great course and location. We always enjoy playing both North and South courses. Unfortunately, yesterday was painfully slow due to 2 foursomes ahead that wouldn’t speed up or let me play through. They were either locals or members and knew I was waiting on them since hole #2, never offered to let me through while they were hitting 2 balls on most holes. Great course, just poor etiquette.

I have taken groups of 30 - 40 to The Boulders numerous times over the past 20 years. This course was one of our group's favorites and I bragged to the new members of the trip how much they would enjoy the day. We were told the greens were scheduled to be punched and were offered a discounted rate when I made the reservations five weeks out. Upon arrival the cart attendants told me the greens were a disaster and unplayable as something happened during the punching process. We were not offered any additional discount or or even advised by the clubhouse of the situation. Arriving at the 1st green on the South Course we were shocked. All of the greens are unplayable and frankly the course should be shut down. Playing another course later in the week that manager told me The Boulder's greens had been killed by mistake and they would all need to be replaced. I advise skipping the course until they replace all the 18 dead greens on the South course !!

Greens were punched and top dressed. Still no grass coming through the sand and should not be in play until greens return to being playable.

The course conditions were terrible. The fairways were air-raided the greens were punched and sanded. There were puddles in sand traps. All of which is necessary but they should inform you when booking or discount the round. The scenery is stunning and the course layout is good. Just disappointed in the conditions of the course while still paying full price.

Nice layout. Nice fairways. Terrible greens. Not a $200 course right now.

Beautiful course with awesome views. Greens were in fair shape. Rolled well but looked bad. The rest of the course was perfect. Staff was friendly. Would definitely go back.

Great staff. Played the South Course. Great shape except for the greens…….a little stressed and dry but the ball rolled well.

We’ll be back to play the North Course.

Great layout and views. The sand traps need a lot of work, a lot of grass in them and growing down from the rough into the traps.

Also, some of the greens don’t look very good for a course with a high price tag like this one.
