Guests may enjoy rooms and suites overlooking the course, which also deliver in space and comfort. A complimentary breakfast buffet and free drinks at happy hour in the hotel lounge are additional amenities available, not to mention an outdoor pool. The hotel is within 6 miles of hiking trails at Camelback Mountain and is conveniently located near a large outdoor shopping mall as well as minutes from Scottsdale Airport and 60 different restaurants. Stonecreek Golf Club is a unique desert golf experience with an expansive pro shop and clubhouse and also features its own restaurant for after your round.Facts

a good "value course (price point/difficulty scale)".......the back tees (Slope/yardage) are challenging enough for the avid golfer.

Pace of play too slow.
Because of a rainfall the night before, the power carts were not allowed on the course, so the pace of play was WAY too slow. We started on the back nine, at 12:57pm and it took over 2.5 hours to finish nine holes! We didn’t see any course assistant after the 2nd hole we played. When we started the front 9, the fairways were now dry and carts should have been permitted on the course! This would have sped up okay for sure. The course assistant tried to move the groups along on the front 9 (which was our second 9), but without success.
For the green fee paid at 12:57pm, there should have been no problem to finish in the daylight! We played the last two holes, with not much light to spare, at 5:35pm.
Management should take into consideration how to speed up play or give a discount if carts are not permitted on the course. It made for an unpleasant, painful round of golf!

Greens are ready
The course is still coming out of overseed, so the fairways and rough are affected by all the watering. The greens are already in peak shape.

I like the course
The course was a bit different. There are some interesting challenges and risk return decissions. Greens were slow but in better shape than the rest of the course.

Morning Round on the Back 9
Went for a 7:40am tee time to play the back 9 and have breakfast.
The pace of play was good due to it not being busy. The course was in good shape for being over seeded for winter three weeks ago, not too wet for being over seeded recently.
They even had the drink cart girl out early - which was nice.
19th hole is good with a full bar, and mid-size food menu.

Course is a bit above OK
The course was in ok shape. It played a bit slow and we saw no efforts to speed it up.
It would be nice to have ball washers on the course.
Liked the layout. Distances were fair. Hazards add extra interesting challenges with nice risk return.

Another wonderful time
I’ve played StoneCreek many times. I’m always impressed with the condition of the practice facility, the course, and the staff. The course is challenging yet not extremely penal.
The course when I played on 11/19/23 was in incredible shape. I’m very happy I chose StoneCreek.
