About The Wigwam Arizona

Located in the West Valley near Phoenix-Scottsdale is one of Arizona's most historic golf resorts, Wigwam. Set on 440 acres, this village-style resort features three 18-hole golf courses, including two designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., most notably the famous Gold Course. The resort features 331 casitas and suites with large private patios and several resort pools, including a new 25-foot water slide tower. The resort-style golf courses are more parkland in nature than surrounding desert courses and feature palm trees and water hazards sprinkled throughout. There are four dining concepts, led by the signature Litchfield's Restaurant serving local farm-to-table cuisine, while there is Red's Bar & Grill for casual fare and the Wigwam Bar, which is the social epicenter of the resort. Recreation outside of the 54 holes of golf is nine lighted tennis course and two regulation bocce-ball courts, sand volleyball, bike rentals and yard games.

Great summer shape

Wigwam Red is in great shape for summer golf in the desert. The crews have done a good job taking care of all the downed trees after the storm that took out so many trees. Staff is all very friendly. Great to play here in the summer when it’s affordable and still in great shape.

Slow

Slow pace of play. No rangers on course despite plenty of staff at clubhouse. Literally watched the group in front of us play their whole round. Day ruined. 4hr 45 min round.

Post Storm Round

The course had many trees down, but crews were taking care of the mess. Most of the trees were out of play and they had cleaned up the mess in the fairways and most of the rough. I only had one ball go into a downed tree and just took a free drop. The tees, fairways and greens were in great shape, the recent rains were great for the grass.

Just a poor management for twilight golf tee times

We had 4:40 tee time and oh lord these folks were slow then they asked us to bring cart back to the club house by 19:00 like what? Sun goes down at 19:30.

I wasn’t aware of that restriction and wasn’t able to finish three holes and that was really bad decision

Old resort and shows

Pretty boring track. Course was in OK condition. Everything is very old around these parts. The Colangelo group needs to update and renovate the property. Meh. AA
