Great Views, Great Casino, Great Course

The price on the stay and play packages is a very high compared to competitors. I would love to stay and have some drinks and play 21 but the price for a room is bit much for how far out of the way it is. The drive home for me is 2 hours so I prefer to stay when I go golfing for the weekend. Rolling Hills Casino has Sevillano Links (which is a much harder course) and their stay and play package is $130/$150. Easy access, hard to beat price, and the winner in my eyes.

This Troon facility has excellent practice area's and if they had a more competitive stay and play package I would return more then once a year.

Also: The food in the casino at the buffet is excellent. So there is that.

Great time on Yocha Dehe

Couse is in very good shape and this should improve as the greens heal from aeration. Many good challenging holes that will test your second shot length and accuracy.

Friendly staff -- courteous and helpful. Great course for an outing with the "boys".

A Beautiful Golf Day

This is the complete experience. From the friendly greeter at the bag drop to the man wiping down your clubs as you finish on the 18th green, you feel like a VIP. The course conditions are absolutely fantastic. Perfectly groomed plaid fairways offset by sparkling blue lakes and streams create a visual treat as well. Even though the greens had been recently punched, they used a much less invasive method that still allowed for great putting. All of the staff in every department strive to make you feel like the most important person in their day. This has always been my favorite course and it only has gotten better! I can't recommend this course enough. Try the chimichanga breakfast burritos, too.

Great Course

The course and club are top notch with most high end course I have played like Trump course. Not to hard or easy unless the wind is blowing at 30 which it was the day I was their. Driving range and club house staff were the best. The only issues were the greens had been punched that day and no course alert from Golfnow and the bar staff after the round would serve people a drink then leave to a rook to chat with someone until people had to go looking for her.

Great Time - Great course.

Fairways were in great shape. The rough was very thick at some places, but playable. Greens were stampeded on by 1pm which made putting tough. I had five putts under 6-feet break away from the hole after hitting spike marks which made the ball break away from it's natural break. Pace was very good...and the ambiance was phenomenal.

Fantastic course

I have played this course several times and am still amazed by it's beauty. This is simply one of the 10 best public courses in Northern Ca. Staff is remarkable, course is always is pristine condition & play is challenging enough for the low handi-capper but playable for the mid handi-capper. I will continue to play this course again & again. It is usually the place to go when I treat myself to upscale round of golf.

beautiful course great fairways with great greens

not a course for the beginner. walked the course which was not that difficult. played the ORO tees. 1st time at the course. hole to directions somewhat challenging. could add more directional arrows between holes. also they could either add some drawings to the score card or even better on the hole signs what the hole looks like so you know where to hit your ball. overall great course. no price break for walkers which is very disappointing. would add it to my list of regular playing courses if it were more reasonable in price given it's location. nice course but in my opinion over priced.

Yocha Dehe

I love this course. It's hard, but fir, nod the best course conditions you can find public or private. Totally worth the 1.5 hour drive and I'll do it over and over again.

Great day at Yocha Dehe!

I had never played this course nor travelled to this area to play golf. The golf course is first-class and in great condition. My husband and I were teamed up with another two-some and the pace of play was very good. The course was well maintained and challenging. I would definitely recommend it and play it again.

Probably one of the best courses in Northern CA

This is definitely a first-rate golf club...a country club atmosphere at a public course. Course is very interesting & beautiful. Great place to take a client or someone whom you want to impress. Free water bottles throughout course, attendants at driving range & throughout course. Attendants that actually do something about pace-of-play.

Possibly the best course I have played

This is one of the best layouts and golf experiences I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Course and facilities are top notch, the staff is friendly and helpful and I can't wait to get back! Other then a private club that I was lucky enough to get to play, this course is the best course in Nor Cal. If you get the chance PLAY Yocha!

Great Winter course .. Most annoying GPS carts ever

2nd time playing the course. With no wind and a bit of course knowledge, it played much easier than 1st go around. Sand was perfect. Lengthy par 3's are testers. Wasn't sure how 234 yd par 3 was 10th handicap hole. The layout and facilities are top notch and worth the road trip. The carts have wayyy too much technology. If you have to touch the GPS screen over a dozen times it borders on ridiculous. The engine is governed by the GPS, so at times on the edge of the fairways, the cart thought it was in the rough and slowed way down .. stupid.

Creme de la Creme of Sacramento

Truly a course as close to being as pristine as possible. You're met at the bag drop off by an extremely friendly person who takes your bag and loads it on your cart. The course itself is a mixture of links, sparse trees and brush and low land marsh with plenty of water. There is more than enough strategically placed bunkers just waiting to catch any slightly off line shots. The course is full of elevations from tee to green with not a lot of level topography. Reminds you of a mountain course. Unique are the two putting greens: one on hole number one and the other on hole number ten. Balls are supplied on the range as well as the putting greens. Leaving the eighteenth, an attendant greets you and cleans your clubs. Obviously, a first class operation run by the Cache Creek Casino.

NOT a boring muni

Terrific course design located in the foothills. Challenging enough for all skill levels without being extreme. Well maintained and staff was pleasant. Range could use more space but adequate. Worth a visit if in the area.

Great course

First time been there. loved !!! Only down side I see was that there is no OB - anything goes to OB or hazard, it's one stoke penalty and play near where ball last crossed (this rule is to speed up the play, but I would like to hit again if ball goes to OB).
