This course is just beautiful
Absolutely love this course would love to play it more often if I could afford it but for $94.00 it has to be a special treat.
Wonderful course
Nice, lush fairways. Ruff is tough to get out of. Greens are large and fast. Multiple tee boxes makes this course playable for everyone.
Maybe California's best value
I don't often dish out five stars, but this hidden oasis in the Capay Valley west of Sacramento delivers on all accounts - service, facilities, course conditions, scenery, fantastic food in the clubhouse and an interesting and challenging layout. If Yocha Dehe were closer to civilization, i.e. the Bay area, this Troon Golf-managed casino course owned by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation would cost significantly more to play. The greens were immaculate, the fastest I've played this year (and that includes the Olympic Club and Lake Merced, both elite private courses in San Francisco). Putts downhill or downwind were scary fun. Severe elevation changes - downhill off the first and 11th tees and back up again to the ninth and 10th greens - add character to the round. A section of the back nine runs through a vineyard. Water lurks on the final four holes, ready to swing matches for better or worse. Inland golf doesn't get much better. The picturesque hillsides look like a painting come to life.
Great Test of Golf
Demanding course but fair. 18 holes of well desigined golf,, some better than others but all well designed holes. 18 is fantastic finishing hole and the back nine in general was just pure enjoyment from a golfers perspective.. Highly recoment this course. If you have flexibility in your scheduling seems Golfnow has a set of tee times noon or shortly after at significant discount. I payed $45. At that price this course is steal. Strongly suggest playing this course.. Great design.. Condition was excellent as well.
Absolutely beautiful
I've played a couple hundred courses in my 50 years and this is without a doubt the nicest course I've ever played
My brother-in-law and 10-year-old son played with me as well and we walked away thinking what an amazing experience. First class in every aspect of the course
This truly was a hidden gem
Always had fun!
Will do it again during the Masters weekend in 2016. This was our third year.
First rate!
This is a first rate course which is challenging and require thoughtful management of club selections. Greens are well protected by bunkers. You need to be at a good angle and reasonable lie to land and stay on the greens which are firm and fast.
The best in California at a minimum
This is the most beautifully layout and manicured course we had ever played. This from golfers who had played golf courses in Scotland, Ireland, Spain, Australia etc etc. a Must Played for any serious golfers. For that not so serious golfer, enjoy the ambiance!
Outstanding Course
Without a doubt the best course I have played in the valley. With the exception of Spyglass the best course I have ever played. It is perfectly groomed, the greens are unbelievable, everything on and off the course was fantastic. Every hole is fair if you choose the correct tee boxes based on your index. I played the green tees and every hole was reachable in regulation. The real thrill and work starts around the greens. Every hole is distinctive and memorable. If you get a chance GO.... The cool towel and club cleaning at the end of the round was a nice finish. Along with a cold beer on the patio while just enjoying the views. I will have to save a few pennies to go back but it will be worth every cent!
As good as it gets
Everything at this facility is 5 stars. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Picturesque
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Yocha Dehe Golf Course. The last part of the drive to get there alongside cache creek was peaceful. The course was well groomed and again, very pleasant to the visual senses. If you go, bring your friends/family for a great day. Staff was great, from arrival through departure.
Muy Bonito!
.
This course is second only to Pebble Beach. The course is immaculate, always being worked on and the staff is superb
Great course
The best course I've ever played. Great conditions, challenging holes and very scenic. I'll be back.
Beautiful Course
Beautiful Golf Course. Lot of elevation changes, especially the 1st hole. Great fairways & Greens. A must play.
Great course!!!
Just a lot of fun to play. Very scenic. Extremely well maintained. Challenging, but not punitive. Troon managed, so everything is top notch.
Always a pleasure
I always look forward to playing this course and again was not disappointed. The quality of the course together with the friendliness of the staff brings me back time after time.
Nice Course - Punched Greens
I really like this golf course, it is in a very nice setting... It is very quiet and peaceful... The staff are great and I got treated very well... Top notch clubhouse and practice areas... My only complaint is the Greens had been Punched with No Alert on Golf Now... Didn't know until I arrived... Bummer...
Great hidden Gem
I have heard from friends how outstanding the course was at Yocha Dehe.I went up to cash creek to take my mom gambling for her birthday. So I snuck out to play this course and see for my self. What I got was so much better than I had expected. From my house in San Ramon it took 1 hr & 30 mins to get there.I highly recommend going and see for your self how GREAT this Gem is....
Great course
I finally got a chance to play this course after hearing so many good things about it. I was absolutely not disappointed. The course was in excellent shape and the staff makes you feel like a member at a country club. Awesome experience!!!!
Everything's great.
This is a beautiful golf course.
Staffs are very friendly and nice.
Purchase a 2015 Troon CA card and play for $55 midweek. A great deal for this course.
