Carlton Oaks has a long history of tournament golf. Curtis Strange won the 1974 NCAA Championships on the course before Perry Dye redesigned the layout and stretched it to 7,400 yards in the 1980s. Terrible conditions better courses for cheaper or same price
Not a single good lie on the course no matter where you hit it, greens are fine if you can find your ball in the fairway to hit it there. So many white spots balls get lost in the fairway and you play off of dirt or sand most of the time. Very disappointing.
Bad condition and slow pace
8am Sunday tee time, round took OVER 5 hours due to overbooking. Many dirt fairways. Greens were nice. At $85, it should either be faster or nicer. Won’t be going back for a while; maybe the reno will fix it.
Prequalifier course
There is no excuse for needing a kidney belt anywhere you drive on that course.

Bumpy ride
Lost my range finder a few times due to the bumpy course.
Hot and dry
The group I played with and I were mind blown that on 4th of July weekend there were no beverage carts on the course. We started a little after 9 am so I understand not seeing one right away but with it being a holiday weekend I figured there would be a cart going around.
carlton oaks recommendation
i would recommend carlton oaks golf course. very challenging. teeoff is a great discount app for good deals on local courses. hope they stay in business
Terrible conditions
For such a nice and challenging design, the course is in such terrible condition. The greens are ok but the rest of the course is dirt. I won’t play here again.
