Brown Fairway. I think this is the 9th fairway but it is typical of all fairways. Photo submitted by sherpaboy on 02/12/2022

Carlton oaks
This is course is in seriously bad shape, between the tons of gopher holes all over the course, weeds and very inconsistent grass, huge dirt patches all over. I would not recommend or play this course again
There are other courses similar price and is much better condition.
Good times with good Friends
We had a great time and everything went well. So happy they make this course fun and exciting. Cheers
Carlton oaks review
Course personnel are all great. Price with tee off discounts very reasonable. Course layout is difficult to play as it’s very challenging which makes it fun. Green complex and greens are in great condition. Fairways could use some upgrading but the soil has always been hard to maintain growth. All in all I enjoy the people and the course and would recommend that you keep the course in your inventory. You have my username as fireball. That’s wrong it’s Eightball8
Carlton Oaks GC
Course is in very good condition
Greens are user friendly not too fast.
I had a good putting day.
Worth the money yet slightly disappointing
I played this course for the first time. The course was a little burned out in places, but the value is great! I would play it again.
Slow pace of play
Teed off at 10:30. Didn’t get to finish the course because at 2:30 we were barely on hole 13
Too bad
The course has a nice enough layout, but is barely maintained. It's too bad because it course has potential.
Course
Course needs work. Very bumpy course unfinished fairways. Huge damaged fairways. Needs help. Highlight was greens they were better shape
Shame on the managers of Carlton Oaks.
We teed off at 5:57 a walking twosome and played the front in 1 hour and 40 minutes. as we made the turn a foursome in carts was in the fairway on 10. We played the back nine in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Totally a revenue grab that was total fail by the golf staff. The course used to be one of San Diego's gems. We played lift, clean and place everywhere including the "Clay" bunkers. It is in a total state of decay with, gross conditions everywhere except the greens which were good. Everyone is making money running golf courses these days with conditions and place of play improving dramatically since Covid. Carlton Oaks has gone backward to degree that makes it almost unplayable. They need to either fix their awful maintainence or get out of the business.
Bumpy ride
Laser finder bumped off cart due to the rough ride, even on the cart paths.
