Brown Fairway. I think this is the 9th fairway but it is typical of all fairways. Photo submitted by sherpaboy on 02/12/2022

Pace of play
Left after 4 hours 45 min and didn’t play the last 3 holes. Inexcusable pace of play that just kills the enjoyment of playing a round
Good Value!
It had been a LONG time since I played at Carlton Oaks. You can still see the skeleton of what was a pretty challenging and innovative course from years past. The greens were in good shape, and the fairways were decent, but there was no sand to speak of in the traps, and some really bare spots here and there.
From the rough
This San Diego Pete Dye course is one to visit. The rough is tough and tall, play from the fairway..!
The staff is great and very helpful. Target golf is recommended. Use golf now apps for discounts.
The Driving Range is in need of work.. The fairways and greens are only fair for a Dye course.
Not worth the amount being charged. Greens are nice and some parts of the fairway. Mostly dirt all around.
Poor Condition
Course had an excellent challenging layout from the championship tees. The tee boxes were very uneven and were very shaggy, very hard to find a good place to tee up your ball. The bunkers were also in terrible condition with little to no sand in most of them. The course could be a gem if it was maintained properly.
First off the tee
Booked this online and when we arrived were told the price online wasn’t correct, so we’re charged an additional $74 to play. Sprinklers were on the entire front nine, greens were a mess. Love the layout and have played here many times, but it was not a good experience today. If you make a mistake, you should own it and live up to it, not penalize your customers.
Awesome!
As usual it was great! Many improvements on the course too!
Carlton Oaks
Nicest people in pro shop. A difficult course in afternoon with wind. Getting better all the time.
The course has a country feel with lakes and views of the mountains and a great layout. To report new or 7 changes in
