About Cimarron Golf Resort
Guests of the Cimarron Golf Resort will be comfortable at the Staybridge Suites Cathedral City, an extended-stay hotel that is the perfect alternative to corporate apartments or restrictive vacation rentals. All 197 units include a full-sized fridge, microwave, stovetop and dishwasher. A Raintree Vacation Club with two bedroom condos and the Worldmark Cathedral City hotel are also available onsite. The golf courses, the 6,700-yard Boulder course and the 3,000-yard executive Pebble course, are set to a backdrop of the San Jacinto Mountains.Facts

This is a beautiful little par 3 course. 18 holes of exceptional fairways and greens. Not your typical par 3. Some par 3's are long and challenging. You definitely get your monies worth. A pleasure to play and highly recommend

first timers
The greens were in very good shape, bunkers were all right. There were several of the par 3s that I used driver on and couldn't reach the greens due to the fact that there was no fair way cut which really cut down on the roll not allowing your ball to be able to roll to the green.

Ant hill greens
Because the course is located in a low lying drainage area, most of the greens are severely raised. If you miss those greens, you’ll be below their surface by 5-8 feet and have to hit a flop shot from poor lies.
The greens’ surfaces are very smooth and roll true.
All of the fairways had healthy turf but some were 3 inches high. You could find your ball but had to swing harder to get the ball up and out.

Slow POP
Pace of Play was 3 hours 35 minutes for a 3000 yd course. Pro shop suggested it would be 2.5 hours, starter said that it would be slow for the next 12 weeks!

Course is in poor condition for the money
There is a lot of unrepaired flood damage to the course, and the greens were way more bumpy than any other course I have played close to this price point. Remarkable mountain views but the 10 Freeway is also really close on one side of the course so that is not really a plus -- someone in a work truck screamed out the window at one of my playing partners to mess up their backswing with the vehicle going on 10 West at 75 mph. Also, the vibe from many of the staff was low key passive-aggressive rather than friendly. Best to avoid considering so many other options in the area. Will never go back.

Great course
I’ve been to Palm Springs 7 or 8 times over the past 8 years never played Cimarron before my loss l got a hot deal on golf now so I decided to cimarron was very pleasantly surprised course was in good shape greens rolled good I in joyed this course

Played as foursome with friends was beautiful sunny day course in great shape for a par 3. Greens rolling nicely. Cart paths could use some work. Would recommend and play again

This course has some good features
Nice layout , good greens , fairway conditions were just ok, on course bathrooms were less than bad, my wife would not even go into the port-a-pottiurs.
Disgusting
No trees would also be a non starter to okay this course in the heat

Poor management
I will start by saying the course was beautiful, well kept and the views were stunning. However, the staff on hand ruined my experience. Left an item at the course but had already returned home that same day a few hours away. Called the course in hopes they could help me find the item left on the golf cart, I Let them know exactly where it was left and was told I would get a call back same day. No call back. So I called back after 5 and was told all the cart guys were gone so no help. Was once again told I would be called back again thw next day once someone had returned to check the carts for me, no call. So I call back and get someone else, get the same exact runaround with no call backs. So this is now thw 3rd day I'm calling for help to find and item that I know EXACTLY where I left it. Still no help only now the attitudes have completely turned on me. Everyone I talked to had an attitude and basically refused to help me stating "someone will call you shortly " even though I have STILL not received a single call from them and it's now been 5 days. I Honestly have the feeling that someone stole the item off the cart as they seem to avoid me and will not return my calls. It wouldn't surprise me. Such a shame that you can't trust people nowadays.
