Hole #12 I believe. Photo submitted by Trailerteri on 04/03/2013
Favorite course in the area
This course is maintained beautifully. My husband and are are fairly good golfers, have played for 30 years at courses all over the world and this is one our favorites. Challenging but fair for the average golfer.
Beautiful course
Played the celebrity course for 60.00 each which was a fair price. Would not have paid 125.00 to golf here or any other course. The grounds here are beautiful along with the views. The course has it's challenges but the fairways have enough room to make it fair so your not cringing at every shot. The pro shop staff were very friendly.
This course is beautiful and challenging
My husband and I definitely recommend playing this course. He is an experienced golfer and I am a fairly new golfer (year 4 playing). We loved the course. It is challenging, very well maintained, visually beautiful, and the staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. We look forward to playing here again.
Unequalled
I've played close to 30 courses down here in Palm Springs, and this is the winner. Nothing at pga west even comes close. The greens rolled quick and true, yet were soft enough to land and stick. Water falls and features were on nearly every hole, but were only in play on a few. Deep emerald fairways were perfectly maintained.
Beautiful
One of the most manicured cold courses I have golfed on. Would highly recommend golfed with 2 guys from California had a great time.
Very disappointing bunkers
This was my third time playing the players. It is one of my favorite courses and a must play every time I'm down. The course wasnt in the best shape I've seen. The sand traps were terrible! They were as hard as a rock and our group of 3 handicappers were cost quit a few strokes thanks to their condition. If you play do yourself a favor and stay off the beach!!
Very well landscaped with great scenery to look at. We took many photos
Very difficult greens. Fun to play with many different hole lay outs.
One of the prettiest golf courses, incredible landscapping
Great conditions, friendly fairways, needed a caddie to read my putts, never understood how the ball will break
Well groomed, awesome staff!
Trying to focus on your golf while enjoying the beautiful course is challenging enough. Course is pristine, beautiful wildflowers everywhere. Pace of play was comfortable. The staff were welcoming and professional.
Beautiful course with so-so greens
I played this course in early April and the tee boxes and fairways were immaculate. The greens were hit and miss. My guess is at this time of year, there is a lot of play and it takes its toll on the greens. Very scenic course with a nice warm-up facility, good carts (including GPS) and friendly staff.
Celebrity course
One of my favorites, the back nine is super beautiful with water and flowers everywhere!!!
Players is OK
Would highly recommend the Celebrity course over the players.
We played both back to back and they are not even comparable.
The greens we very beat up and brownish.
very scenic
First time in two years playing this course. Perfect time of year with all the flowers in bloom. Course condition was very good, save for the few extra un-repaired ball marks on the greens. Staff is friendly-from pro shop to starter/marshals and bev cart. One of our favorites in the valley.
Beautiful layout.
Of the five courses we played on our first trip to Palm Desert, by far our favorite.
Wonderful course. Spectacular views.
This course has it all. Great, helpful staff. Wonderfully kept. Beautiful, fast greens, though players did not always repair ballmarks. Mountain views were breathtaking on almost every hole. Moderately difficult and beautiful to play. Pace of play was about 4-1/2 hours...too slow but it is a resort course and you must realize that there will be slow people or groups.
Great course with super friendly staff.
top notch conditions, greens where superb, fast and well maintained. great common areas with wild flowers, and waterfalls.
Not welcoming!
We didn't feel that this course is worth $180.00.
Much nicer courses in the area that are cheaper.
The staff could be friendlier. Not welcoming!
We like to support the courses by having breakfast and lunch however there wasn't even a decent restaurant open for breakfast at 9:30 am.
This resort is suppose to be so prestigious, prepared breakfast sandwiches don't cut it.
We ended up golfing with 2 wonderful gentlemen which made the day enjoyable.
See below
Fairways and greens in superb condition but traps usually unraked. Course challenging from back tees but otherwise very playable. Had to quit after 12 holes on a hot day because of slow play by forward threesome-no ranger for help. Entire staff from car attendents to club house personel extremely friendly and helpful.
great pace of play
Great pace of play for a twilight time, they got me out as a single with one other player with an empty nine in front of us. Course in great condition and fantastic layout with a bit of desert and water in play on most holes. Perfect sand traps, Bermuda greens of course had some bumps but overall good reception and tricky pin placements. Fantastic deal!
Great course
This course is beautifully situated and maintained. It has a low slope rating for the difficulty that the numerous traps and twists and turns present to the golfer, but it is fair and enjoyable to play and is highly recommended!
