Hole #12 I believe. Photo submitted by Trailerteri on 04/03/2013
Beautiful , but over watered!
Course is stunning and overall, in great condition. However, when you play in the desert in the middle of June, your ball shouldn't plug in the fairway because the course has been grossly over watered. Spent the entire round cleaning my play after every shot. Its this sort of course management that gives golf in general a bad name for water usage.
Played the Celebrity course - should also be noted that there are a lot of blind shots form the tees and fairways.
Great shape for early June
Challenging course... Great but difficult lay-out. A target course. Very deep and often punishing fairway bunkers. Overall a great course for better golfers.
Greens were burned out.
The greens were burned out and hard for this time of the year. The rest of the course was excellent.
Great course, GPS on the cart.
Played the Players Course, great course. GPS on cart made my first time playing there very enjoyable.
the course was maintained and had very nice features.
The course made a mistake with the pager they gave us. It never went off and they did not come to let us know on the range. They made us feel like we were late for our tee time. Then they pushed us out behind a twosome and a very very slow foursome. This made for a very long round of golf in the heat.We were not happy with the pace of play and will not be back. Oak Quarry and Soboba Springs are two nicer places to play without the frustration. A 5hr round of golf in the heat , forget it , my wife and I play in 3 in a half everywhere else.
Had issue with a tournament
Had a 12:40 tee time. Was not told there was a tournament on both courses. We ran into the tournament after six holes. Could not finish. Staff moved us to the other course but because of the delays only played a total of 14 holes. Unsure if I will try again.
Beautiful course & fast greens
The course is worth a visit just for the aesthetic value alone. A challenging course with reasonably broad fairways and fast greens. Also, the only course I know of with Indian burial grounds! Try it out, you won't be disappointed.
GREAT course!
Played the Players course for 100.00 by booking on GolfNow which was normally 125.00...............the replay rate was ONLY 25.00! we played the Players then nine on the Celebrity then nine on the players........started at 640am and we were back at the condo sipping margaritas at 115pm! Super FRIENDLY staff!
Beautiful Setting for a great game. Stop and smell the roses.
This challenging course was in great condition and the the scenery is terrific. Everyone working at the course were so friendly and helpful. Enjoy your play.
Nice Course - But Service Was (once again) Not the Best
I played the "Players" course this time. And once again I was impressed with the course, but NOT impressed with the service. Their tacky "beeper system" for notifying you of your impending tee time is annoying. Their lack of parking (and signage to the parking) are also annoying. When I asked at the pro shop why parking is so hard to find (and so far from the pro shop) the response was, "we have valet parking right in front". Valet parking to golf? Really? The bottom line on this facility is that they cater to the rich NON GOLFERS! Which brings me to my next point. It seems like the more expensive the course, the worse the golfers are on that course. This is especially true at this course. I have now played 4 rounds at this course, and none of the 12 other players I have played with have shot better than 95 or 100. And watching others playing the course, I haven't seen any single digit handicappers ... I am not really a golf "snob", but when I play an expensive and challenging course, it would be nice to occasionlly play with a player or two that isn't losing a ball on every other hole, and taking 3 to 4 shots to reach the green on every par 4... It is tough to play well when the other 3 players in the 4-some are taking 2 or 3 shots for every shot you are taking...
Great conditions, interesting layout, friendly pro shop staff. Recommend.
Played on 5/22/2013...1:30 TT...97 degrees...windy conditions. Good practice facility with 9 hole putting course. Friendly pro shop staff relayed relevant info about the course... Rolling 10+- on s- meter, etc. got us out earlier than assigned time and had no one in front of us. Landscaping was cool with gardens and water features abounding. Played whites and shot 86 (14.3 index). Great layout and very well maintained. Will play again. Recommended.
fun course!
As a twosome, we were matched with a single..OK
After teeing off, the starter drove up and put another single player with us. As the course didn't seem busy - not OK.
We could have been finished much earlier and not been standing so long in the sun while 4 people putted and 2 were looking for balls a lot of the time.
After two holes a single came up behind and we had to let him play through. Why on earth would the starter put out a foursome and then a single?
Great track if you can get a deal on the green fee
The greens were very fast - which i really like. the ball rolls true but stay below the hole if you can.
Course was in great shape.
I think the normal green fees are too high so I will play again only if I can get a deal.
Very nice facility for lunch or dinner afterwards.
Big Break Indian Wells
Had a great round of golf. Really enjoyed the course where they filmed the reality golf show Big Break Indian Wells. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Would definately golf there again
Love playing Indian wells every time!
Course exceptional, staff very friendly and attentive. Course marshal needs to listen to golfers questions instead of talking all the time. We could not get a straight answer from this guy. He just didn't listen. Very frustrating.
Must play, Great service
1st class all the way, great service and a very well maintained course.
Always Awesome!
Love that course! One of the best in the desert for sure. I will be back.......
Stunningly beautiful
From the first tee to the 18th green the Celebrity Course at Indian Wells is breathtaking and rewarding.
Very difficult greens
This was a wonderful course. There was a shortage of water and ice throughout the course but the staff worked very hard to keep us hydrated. The tee boxes were great as were the fairways. The greens were way too fast for recreation golfers but we enjoyed the challenge. This is one of the best courses in the area.
Pretty, in excellent condition and generally impressive.
Very well maintained, lush and beautiful. Interesting holes also. This was my first time in Palm Springs and I wanted to make sure we got to play really nice courses providing us unique experience. This course was the right choice.
