Hole #12 I believe. Photo submitted by Trailerteri on 04/03/2013
loved the course
Really enjoyed the course very pristine. One of our best ever!
Very nice course landscape on Celebrity course is very pretty
I played with a very nice couple from San Diego and had a wonderful time....I really wish the foursome in front had a sense of urgency because we were trying to finish before dark....Had to wait every shot for them to find ball, then the others were not prepared to hit their shot. I saw the marshal once and he didn't scoot them along...Other then that, a very pleasant experience.
Would recommend to anyone, played both courses and a definite on the return list.
We found the staff to be super, practise facility good, course in great condition. Played both courses, extra challenge on the Players course day was some wind but really enjoyed. Celebrity provides a different experience, great. We have put Indian Wells on our must play list for annual golf trip. Thank you so much, Pro shop, Starters, Player's Asst and back shop for a great two days.
A course I would play again.
We only had one issue with the course. We were not able to finish our round because of darkness. They had a 16 person outing in front of us and they slowed play down so much we could not finish. The course is excellent and we got our money's worth. The staff, all the way to the marshall, was super.
Great course, outstanding day of golf!!
Staff at the Indian Wells resort course were excellent. The course was in fantastic condition and well worth the money. Played the blue/white combo tees which was a good test of golf. Really enjoyed the round at this top notch course.
Brutal pace of play.
Didn't finish round because of dark. Beautiful course-greens a bit pitted.
Good Course but a bit pricy at rack rates.
We played the Players Course. It is not as scenic as the Celebrity but I think more challenging. Paced of play was very good -the only downfall is the course is a bit pricy - definately at rack rates.
An enjoyable course with scenic mountain views and attractive desert landscaping.
The Indian Wells Players course offers a stunning setting, and is landscaped in a classic desert style, as opposed to the more lushly landscaped Celebrities course. Play was slow on the day we played because of a tournament, but staff were very accommodating in explaining the reason for the slow pace and even offered a 9 hole rain check for any guests who desired (we declined). The course is well maintained, and greens were true - the main difficulty is that several holes are blind from the tee, although GPS is helpful. Staff were very friendly and the clubhouse is a beautiful example of modern desert architecture.
Excellent conditions, pretty course, nice value
Some of the holes on the celebrity course are unconventional, but on the whole, this is a fun, well-maintained, and very scenic course. Pace of play was extremely slow, but otherwise both courses provided an enjoyable golf experience.
unbelievable scenery
This was our second visit to the Players course and loved it more than the first time. Challenging but very fair.... if you hit it off center you still have a good shot to the green. The greens were perfect. Can't wait to play there again.
Very Nice Course
This course was very nice. The Staff were more than friendly. The only down side was... pace of play 5, but it is a resort. So enjoy!!!!
really well maintain.
The staff are super helpful and friendly. The pro shop staff are very patient and knowledgeable. The food at the club house is super. The tee off time was ahead of schedule. Overall we had a wonderful time today.
A nice Challenge!
Played the Celebrity course and enjoyed the course very much. I played with one other and unfortunately got behind a group of 16......very slow an the marshals were great. They kept us informed as to progress but after 3 hrs and 11holes the marshal very kindly rerouted us and we were able to get in 20 holes before dark. Good work on their part and very enjoyable.
Perfect condition, greens very true. Sand bunkers well maintained, a great experience.
Highly recommended. If price comes down more, will play more although its more than 50% savings already.
Beautiful and challenging
Beautiful course and a good time. People were friendly. Bit late getting off because of frost!
not worth the cost. too many holes cordoned off as much as 125yd from the green.
won't be going back.....too many holes cordoned off as much as 125 yds from the green.....50-60 yds limit for carts is reasonable....125 is not.
Nice course, well designed and maintained. The pace of play seems slower than it actually was, we were waiting often on tee shots.
Played at 1pm on a twilight rate and we finished before dark. It was a nice course, great vistas from many holes and the condition of the course was excellent. I believe there were many "resort" golfers on the course which may have led to the sense of slow play. Even so, had a nice time and scored well too. The normal rates are a bit steep from my perspective, as there are lots of great courses in the area that can be played for less. All in all, a good experience.
Tough but great layout
Beautiful setting... very high-end. This is a tough course, superbly maintained with a great layout. And the views are stunning in places.
Very scenic track.
Love both of these courses. Was a little disappointed that the greens weren't more "green" but maybe that was due to the cold weather snap that week. The greens were true, so my comment on the color is just an observation. My only negative comment was the slow play , we were told that players would be spoken to for slow play and possibly removed, but our time listed us as 26 minutes behind schedule, and we had to wait at EVERY tee box to tee off. The two groups in front of us had no concept as to golf cart management and "ready play". Each person in the immediate group in front of us would drive to one persons tee shot, watch them hit, and then drive over to the next with the same process throughout the round. Not once did they ever grab a club and walk over to their shot while the other person hit theirs.
I wish the rangers did a better job of informing people how o play quickly and then actually enforce it.
Very politely bossy ... No thanks for the money hyper posh...: blah
Very politely bossy ... No thanks for the money hyper posh...: blah.... Pay for the name and attitude , not the quality of course..::: disappointing
