About Pacific Palms Resort
Pacific Palms Resort is billed as "LA's hilltop hideaway", the only full-service luxury golf and conference resort in Los Angeles County. The setting of the 292-room hotel and two golf courses by William F. Bell and Casey O'Callaghan is set against the San Gabriel Valley Mountains. Live music and jazz sets the mood at the Red Restaurant and Bar. The Industry Hills Golf Club's Eisenhower and Zaharias courses have been upgraded over the years with new turf and infrastructure, but their historical layouts remain unchanged.Facts

Decent course (The Babe)
Fairways and greens were in decent shape but tee boxes and bunkers need attention. Bunkers were rock hard and looked like they had not been worked in a long time. Course is challenging since there are a number of very tight holes. Very scenic track and the good news is that we finished the round in 4:15 despite having to wait a few times. One annoyance was that you can’t get a cart until 15 min before your tee time, so my wife and I had to lug our clubs back through the parking lot to the range and then back for our round. There were probably 20+ carts sitting idle near the pro shop. Maybe they need to reconsider that policy. We are going to come back and try The Ike course!
Nice Challenging Course
Had a good experience, staff was pleasant and course was in good condition. Pretty tough course, had to rein it in a bit off the tee. Would definitely come back.
Pace of Play is VERY SLOW
Course layout is fun and the maintencence is above average but pace of play is extremely slow. 8 out of 10 times that i played here, it takes about 5 hours 30 mins to complete the game.
Great course, slow pace of play
I had a lot of fun playing this course but it would’ve been better if it was really hot and humid and also what should’ve been a 3 and 1/2 hour round took 5 hours because the group in front of me was taking forever
Nice layout course in good condition except
Course layout is good with many challenging holes. However, all of the sand traps have no sand or are like concrete. Considering how many traps there are on the course you should pull you ball out. Impossible to hit a high soft shot out of a dirt grave. Also, the cart paths will rattle your teeth out. Disappointed with these aspects of an otherwise nice course.
Decent course and conditions. Dated resort.
Good conditions and nice greens. Cart paths and amenities are old and need repairs. Not the friendliest or most enthusiastic staff. They’re just there. Cart guys just there. Don’t help you with anything or seem to care. Everyone’s just going through the motions. The resort is dated and needs a lot of work overall. Lockers room showers and sauna still closed since Covid. Amenities are at a bare minimum and feels like continued cost cutting for a resort.
Sand traps
Lots of sand traps and its great but no maintenance. They are all like hitting on cement.
Almost there
This course could truly be one of the best around as they have a great layout and greens that are in very solid shape albeit a bit on the firm side. Granted it is SoCal where it gets quite hot so hard to stay on the soft side.
As for the negatives, one of the slowest rounds I've played outside of tournament play at over 5 hours. I was stuck behind a foursome (playing in a twosome) that was well behind the group in front of them and refused to let us play through on numerous occasions. The marshal did nothing to move them along either as he drove by twice. The bunkers are as soft as concrete, so good luck if you end up in one.
If they could put in effort to maintaining pace and fix the bunkers, this could easily be a fun destination.
