About Pacific Palms Resort
Pacific Palms Resort is billed as "LA's hilltop hideaway", the only full-service luxury golf and conference resort in Los Angeles County. The setting of the 292-room hotel and two golf courses by William F. Bell and Casey O'Callaghan is set against the San Gabriel Valley Mountains. Live music and jazz sets the mood at the Red Restaurant and Bar. The Industry Hills Golf Club's Eisenhower and Zaharias courses have been upgraded over the years with new turf and infrastructure, but their historical layouts remain unchanged.Facts

NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART OR FEW OF GOLF BALLS
Had a 1220pm tee time on a weekday that ended up taking 5 1/2 hours (course needs a marshall- badly). The staff was actually chill today and seemed like they were in a good mood which doesn't seem to usually be the case on weekends. Despite the course having a lot of muddy spots and minimal sand in its bunkers (felt like a cart path most of the time), the track is one of the best and most challenging in all of California. With it's changing elevations, undulating and uneven fairways, large, sloping, and lightning quick greens, this course is more for the experienced golf aficionado rather than the typical resort-style player. While there are plenty of putting and chipping areas to prepare for your game (when they're open), be prepared to potentially start your round without practicing some of your longer clubs as the driving range maxes out at 230yds.
Despite its shortcomings, it is still a course I would encourage the experienced golfer to take on given the opportunity.
Pin placement on a Saturday
Most of the flags were tucked in the back and not conducive to faster play, especially when a twosome is following a foresome, that is following a mini-tournament with some guy on a microphone giving commentary like he’s David Fahearty. We ended up 58 minutes behind pace of play according to the cart. Thank goodness for the drink cart woman who kept our spirit (and spirits) up!
had fun
either courses was great. pace was just perfect, never really got some ones back or followed close. if only weather was like yesterday we will try to come every week. had so much fun, next time we will bring my friends with it, make 4 some for sure. thanks for let us having no stress just full of smile. hope next time will be the same!
pace of play
pace of play was 5 hours plus. green fee was $100 & they made me ride with a stranger. the course is too long, hilly and sprhad out to walk. very disappointed in not being able to play as a single and have my own cart for the $100 green fee.
Fun course horrible pace and staff
Both courses are challenging in their own ways. They are very fun. Watch out for the short little starter with an attitude lol.
Bunkers likes bare ground
This golf courses (ike , babe) bunkers best of worst. Likes bare ground. There's no sand in the bunkers and there's a lot of grits.
The owners have failed to maintain a good course.
I was shocked at the deterioration of this course, which I last played about 2 years ago, particularly given the high greens fees. There is no sand in any of the traps, only hard packed dirt. The tee boxes are bare of grass on most holes. The greens were in decent condition, although quite soft. Apparently none of the players ever fix their ball marks - I fixed about 20 marks other than my own. While I like the layout, I will not return until they spend the necessary funds to refill the bunkers and replant the tee boxes .
Course was amazing
The most of course is amazing but some tee boxes was needed to be fixed
Solid challenge (The Ike)
This was a fun and challenging track. We played The Babe last week and definitely prefer The Ike. It has a little more spacious landing areas, but still some tight holes which are visually challenging. Some things that need improvement . . bunkers are hard as a rock and need to be worked badly and a few tee boxes were in rough shape. Otherwise, fairways and greens were in great shape. We did use the chipping area pre-round. It’s in okay shape and you have to walk there since they have a policy where you can’t get a cart until 15 minutes prior to play. I recommend you park your car near the range on the way in and hit balls before walking up to the pro shop to check-in pre-round. Otherwise, you have quite a bit of walking back and forth. Overall, we liked the course and we will play it again.
