Pacific Palms Resort
About Pacific Palms Resort
Pacific Palms Resort is billed as "LA's hilltop hideaway", the only full-service luxury golf and conference resort in Los Angeles County. The setting of the 292-room hotel and two golf courses by William F. Bell and Casey O'Callaghan is set against the San Gabriel Valley Mountains. Live music and jazz sets the mood at the Red Restaurant and Bar. The Industry Hills Golf Club's Eisenhower and Zaharias courses have been upgraded over the years with new turf and infrastructure, but their historical layouts remain unchanged.Facts

Pace of play + heat
Stuck behind a 3 some (which started out as a 2 some until the 3rd hole) that had NO business playing on a course as difficult as the Ike. Turned what should have been a 4 1/2 hour round max into 5+ (and it’s not like our foursome was super fast). That coupled with the afternoon heat made this a much tougher round than it should have been. Course overall was in good shape EXCEPT for the bunkers which had zero sand and were rock hard. Tee boxes are in need of some leveling though.
Great course
Course is in great condition. Very well maintained premium playing experience
Great but…bad sand and range
Great layout. Challenging course. Pristine greens and fairways. But…the bunkers are atrocious. As bad as the worst public courses. Unacceptable for $100 round. Essentially concrete. And this is a bunker heavy course. They need to address.
The range is hilarious. It’s .25 mile walk. You can’t bring your cart🤷🏻♂️When you get there they tell you it’s cash only😂 how/why. Head back to the hotel and get charged $5 for the ATM. And you just wasted 25 minutes.
Fix the sand and the cash only range and this course goes from a 7/10 to 9/10. One of the best courses to play.
Great Course, Except the Bunkers
The course as always was in great shape. Had a wonderful time. My only gripe was with the bunkers. They were hard as a rock. They needed to be fluffed up or add softer sand. Otherwise great.
Beautiful Course
Challenge but beautiful definitely looking to play again
Ike
Course layout is nice. Challenging holes with large undulating , speedy greens. Bunkers are missing sand which makes for challenging shots if hit out of them. Pace of play was slow per usual being a municipal type course letting anyone on. Staff was very friendly and helpful! They could use a starter and Marshall to keep the pace of play moving. Not many bathrooms throughout the course and we never ran into a beverage girl which is needed when the pace of play is slow.
Why have a Marshall?
5 hours and 15 minutes to play 18 holes is totally unacceptable.. why have a Marshall riding around when he does nothing to impact speed of play? Beautiful course, great layout, tooooo Slow!
SLOW PALY 6HR
I PLAYED BEFORE MANY TIMES.
I NEVER PALYED 6HR ON WEEK DAY.
Industry Hills gem
I love this resort from the 2 courses that are well maintained to the restaurant and bar on site. I prefer the longer Ike course as it gives more room for errant shots. Babe is just as fun if you can hit it straight off the tee. Value is 10/10.
