My go to
Course has a nice scenic view since its on a hill. Conditions are always good here. They really keep the greens up often. Coming back as many times i can.
Ike Course Review
Greens in great shape and very fast, Bunkers very hard as we played after several days of rain.
I was upset that the very cool Tram/Gondola at the end of the front 9 was out of commission. It looked like it hadn't been used in years. I remember riding it back in the 80's when I played regularly with my dad and brother. The Tram would take us and our carts up a steep incline back to the clubhouse.
GETTING WORSE ALL THE TIME!
These are two of Southern California's finest courses. Good designs and great views.
Unfortunately, the conditions and maintenance are terribly kept by the management. Worse than a muni.
Industry Hills was relatively premium only 20 years ago. It went way down market during COVID, when most other golf courses were experiencing great business growth. The green fees are now one of the lowest and the conditions match that.
What a shame. Lower and lower green fees will not bring in more business.
A Beautiful Course fallen into disrepair.
This is a great and nuanced layout. But it has become a total dog track. Uneven splotchy tee boxes, dead fairways with no grass, overgrown grass around the green providing uneven bounces. Used to be great now overpriced and just not fun. Drive to Palm.
Perfect day
Great time playing here. Scenery was good and pace was great.
A PLAYER'S COURSE AT A SOLID PRICE
Had and 11:00 a.m. tee time on a Sunday for only 100 bucks. It was just after a rainstorm to the course was relatively empty. Until I got in front of a group, a group of hackers, the front nine took over 3 hours but ended up finishing all 18 in just under 4 and 1/2.
The course is a challenging beauty with continual changes in scenery and elevation. Despite the course being very damp, the conditions for well-maintained with true but tricky greens. A few favorites are the 2nd hole (a par 4 with water near the green and a drop of 30 to 40 yards from the back tee box), the 4th hole (you hit your drive into the sky towards blind fairway), the 6th hole (very long par 4 with a split fairway), the 15th (like the par 3 from Amen Corner at the Masters), and the par 5 18th hole (plays up to 652 yards from the tips)!
Not of course I would recommend for people just starting to play, but is a very fun and challenging time for the person looking to challenge themselves! Definitely plan on coming back another day!
Good round.
My round was on 1/12/24. Greens looked great and were running fast. Course was still in winter-ish conditions. I’m a fan of this course and The Ike.
Worst starter ever!!!!!
Poor attitudes from starter to marshal. For $89 for a poor shape golf course. Be thankful people are showing up..
Poor pace of play
Took 5.5 hrs to play weekday…no marshals to be seen🤦♂️
Dipships
Checked in, guy at register ok, nothing special but nice enough to allow a ride along when they normally don't allow it.
Guy at the range felt he needed to tell me he was getting low on change, which isn't my problem and I let him know that he could ask the shop for more change. Cart guy was whatever and might be better off cutting lawn if he can't guide people to their cart and or first tee.
Marshall stopped by twice; once to see why we had 3 carts (see above where it's not normal) he was understanding about it- the second Marshall stopped to see why pace was slow and we said to ask the group in front of us or whoever as we were continually waiting.
Overall, staff made you feel unwelcome and we will not rush back- seems like it would be easier to be nice to customers than it is to be lame - get a new job if you hate your job:)
Pace of play was horrible and condition was bad no
I’ve played this course before and the conditions and pace of play were great, not this time. We waited about 15 minutes at every hole and we finally quit on the 15th hole. Plus the conditions were not like before, lots of rodent holes and fairways were dry at some holes. Plus the fees were the highest I’ve ever paid 95.00 bucks. Not worth it for me. I hope things get back to normal beacause I really liked this course.
Amazing course, unfair greens
Beautiful views and great course layout. Fairways were rock hard and had some rough spots. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Major issue was the greens. Every green was mult-tiered and holes were cut right on the edge of them, making for some ridiculously difficult putts. I putted off the green a few times and therefore had the most 3-putts in my entire life.
Having to constantly smash putts up a massive incline in the green was not an enjoyable experience and makes it impossible to get the pace right on these greens.
If i were to come back I would try The Babe Course, which I heard was easier.
