One of our favorites!
Every time we make it to southern California we try to play Pala Mesa. You actually have a fairway to hit off. This year has been pretty dry in the area, but the course was still in good shape and challenging. The greens this year seems to have gotten some sort of disease, but still played fairly true. Love the course layout, especially on the back nine. Use the front nine to hone your game! The staff in the pro shop and throughout the resort are very considerate and friendly. We just love visiting this place! Large practice putting green. Driving range decent.
Beautiful Course
Great day, only lost one golf ball and had a couple of birdies!!
Great course, great people
Had such a wonder round of golf. The pace was fast, the staff and especially the Marshall Lane were fantastic. If going south and have a chance the okay here well worth it. Pala Casino purchased in 2024 and has spent a good amount on the course and you can telll.
GREAT COURSE
Played on a Wednesday so price was better than the weekend rate pace of play was great and the conditions were perfect amazing scenery made it a real enjoyable round. By no means was this an easy course with some quirky layouts and hole positions.
Excellent course and service
First time was recommended. Wasn’t disappointed instead couldn’t be happier on my choice. Fairways are in excellent condition, greens aren’t too hard or fast. Sand traps are very tough they replaced mosey with new sand. Lane the marshal was so nice and even let me know they had open course in front and behind if I wanted to to take extra time. Will be back on my next visit down to San Diego
Not long but narrow and tough!
The blues at barely over 6100... this course's defense is it's narrow fairways and fast undulating greens. Get above the hole, you better leave the putter cover on and hope it goes in. This course is always lush green and in great condition.
Great condition
I haven’t played the course in over 1 year. The fairways and greens were in great shape. Greens ran true. Fairways were not thin allowing for easy ball contact. Rough was not penalizing.
My only complaint is that the bunkers are too full of sand. Great sand by the way, but being too full the club easily gets sucked into the sand. There were several occasions in our group where the ball was plugged in the bunker.
Great Course
Had a great time golfing. The fairways are narrow and challenging. The pace was great. The fairway condition was excellent but the green condition needs some attention. The greens are speedy and challenging. The golf carts are pretty new with the club cleaning brush. We loved it. Water bottles are provided.
Overall, it was a great experience.
Below the pin!
Must be below the pin or you will rarely make a putt of any distance. A fee holes were so tough that rgen putting from below the hole led to ball rolling backwards several feet. Super fun, and challenging!
Won't be back anytime soon
The proshop staff was very friendly. There were 2 teens on the putting green keep harassing my wife. Which ever the target my wife was putting to, they would putt there too and laugh to each other. Their parents are ruide as well. We made to the first tee 5 minutes before our tee time. The starter has already sent the other to start the forward tee. He has himself worked up and rude to players at first tee. The tee boxes and fairways are in good condition. Same of the greens are impassable to putt. You have to move your ball to where there is smooth grass. I won't recommend this course to anyone. You should spend your money elsewhere to ENJOY your day.
Save your money
The course is the worst run course I’ve ever seen. They sent me out as a single with two 15 year old kids and two younger kids as spectators in a cart. The spectators had no idea about golf etiquette. Then they quit after 9 which left me alone on a busy Sunday. The guy in the proshop was insulted I complained. I left my phone number and email address for whoever is in charge to call me and I never heard from anyone.
