All of the grass is dead

Half of the fairways are dead, as is most of the rough. They are doing work on the course and apparently applied some treatment to the grass that killed it. It was like playing in concrete for most of the holes. There were multiple groups taking forever on the greens lining up puts like they were playing on Sunday at Augusta. Left after 11 holes when it was going to be a 5 hour round. It’s clearly a nice course with a good layout, but the conditions are awful right now and due to that they aren’t enforcing pace of play.

Course was great, but the range…

The condition of all components of the Resort 18 holes were all great. But the driving range was a mess (basically dirt, no grass)

Great experience for our first golf outing in Palm Springs

Thought it was a great starting experience for two duffers who had not played since the fall. Reasonable price, great service, course was fun to play and paired with some friendly players made a place we plan to play again upon return.

Taquitz creek

Greens were pretty dry. Fee greens were flat., Plenty of green fairways. Play was a bit slow. Suggest more time between tee off.

Palm Springs proper

Good course. Pace okay for Saturday morning. Range and practice not that great. Right in the heart of Palm Springs proper. We were concerned on the homeless but not many visible issues as we've heard from the past reviews. Overall, we were quite happy.

Canuck in the Desert

Great place to golf.

Tough but fair. Paired with a couple of regulars which really helped with strategy.

Played early afternoon and just made it in before it became too dark.

Extremely slow

It took us 2.5+ hours to play 9 holes. At hole #12, there were 3 tee times stacked up on the tee box. If we didn’t have people dropping out ahead of us and also with our group, it would have taken us 6+ hours.

Apparently a wedding party had the first 4 tee times and slowed down the entire day. No one tried to get them to speed up play. So they just take our money ($260/person) and subject us to a free for all. Don’t play here!

Beautiful surroundings on interesting course

The condition of the course is amazing and coupled with the views it makes for a great round of golf. Spaced out 10 minute intervals, we didn’t catch up to the group ahead until the 16th hole and nobody crawled up backside.

Tahquitz Creek Legend Course

Pace of play and weather were good. Greens were not in good condition. Layout is not great and we had people hitting into us on blind-berm holes. Apparently their other adjoining course is in much better condition. Other golfers had warned us to watch our carts on certain holes as the area by the roadway was sketchy and thefts had been reported in the past. Also, at the bag drop there is a sign warning that the course is not responsible for stolen items.

GREAT AREA VIBE

This is my kinda' course; couples walked their dogs around the course; people engaged each other with conversation; the residents were very friendly; and the course starters were amazing. I would like to recognize Starter Steve...very professional and friendly!

Nice course but leaves everything else to be desired .

Showed up a couple hours before my Tee time to acquaint myself with the course, hit some balls, and have a bite to eat.

There was no one at the bag drop, which I can understand since the parking lot was full, no big deal. The golf shop attendant was very helpful and a nice to deal with.

I found a practice green and putted for a while before hitting the range. Looking back, I shouldn’t have even bothered. This is by far the worst range I’ve ever hit at. I strictly think it’s due to the amount of traffic it gets. The ball machine card reader was completely shot too, so I had to go back to the pro shop to buy range balls.

I was a bit worried about the course after seeing the condition of the range but luckily the course was in great shape and played very nicely.

As a first time guest, the first impressions upon arrival were not the greatest. My starter Rob was very reassuring however. All-in-all I would play here again but wouldn’t spend an ounce to of time at the range. Oh, and the cart guys had a chip on their shoulder.

The end
